MAMBO LYRIC has won both of her starts since relocating from KZN, the latest of which was over this distance and she will be looking to complete the trifecta this afternoon. She is drawn the widest of them all, but she is likely to use her early speed to get across as quickly as she can without using up too much energy.

DOLPHIN has consistent recent formlines to his credit and did finish 0.75L in front of SPANISH FORT in their penultimate run over this distance and is just 0.5kgs worse off at today's weights. That should not be enough to turn the tables, but it should bring the pair closer together. The latter does have the blinkers removed for this afternoon's contest which could aid his cause.
