He has had two runs in CT both over seven furlongs but now drops back to the minimum distance. He gets a set of blinkers fitted for the first time, presumably at the jockey's suggestion. The gelding is the only runner on the day from the Ashley Fortune yard.

RUSSET AIR'S last two formlines feature prominently in this race and although those were over different distances to today's contest, they may be pointers to determining the outcome of today's race.
