Wow, wow, wow! If last weekend’s Premier League action didn’t convince you that this is the best league in the world, nothing will. A total of 43 goals were scored, including three seven-goal thrillers. Liverpool were the big winners of the weekend, claiming a vital victory over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, while Leicester City, Arsenal, Everton and Crystal Palace, who upset Manchester United at Old Trafford, also maintained their 100 percent record. Let’s see what the third round of Premier League football has to offer. If its half as good as the last one, we’re in for a treat!

Saturday 26 September
Brighton 7/2
Draw 26/10
Manchester United 8/10
(13:30)
Brighton have been very impressive in their opening two matches, although they did lose 3-1 to Chelsea in their opening encounter. A few crucial errors cost them in that tie and when they cut that out of their game, their match against Newcastle showed what they’re all about, beating the Magpies 3-0 at St. James’ Park. Manchester United looked jaded, lost and out of ideas against Crystal Palace in their first game of the new season, losing 3-1 at home. The Red Devils looked a completely different side that finished last campaign on an unbeaten run of 14 matches. It was just one game, but it did look worrying for the remainder of their season. Over 2.5 Goals looks the best bet here at 17/20.
Crystal Palace 11/4
Draw 23/10
Everton 11/10
(16:00)
One of Crystal Palace or Everton’s 100 percent run will come to an end this Saturday as the Eagles host the Toffees with both sides locked on six points from their opening two matches. In all fairness, neither side have had an easy start with Palace off the back of a resounding win at Manchester United, while Everton beat Tottenham in their last away game. Everton have a brilliant attack and James Rodriguez has made an instant impact at the club, but plenty of question marks remain over their backline. Both Teams to Score looks a big play here at 19/20.
West Brom 13/2
Draw 39/10
Chelsea 4/10
(18:30)
It’s been a difficult start to life in the Premier League again for West Brom, who sit rock bottom on the log after conceding eight goals in their opening two matches. Despite the amount of chances they create, they’ve also only scored just twice. Chelsea looked sharp when playing with 11 men against Liverpool last weekend, but always knew it would be difficult against the champions with a man short, eventually losing 2-0. Against an open West Brom side, the Blues will have much more chances with Timo Werner likely to break his duck. The Away Totals – Over 2.5 Goals looks worth a strike at 13/10.
Burnley 47/20
Draw 9/4
Southampton 5/4
(21:00)
Burnley’s opener against Leicester City was far from what you would usually expect from a Sean Dyche team. They were much more open, lacked sharpness in attack and played out to a six-goal thriller in which they lost 4-2. Southampton are strangely priced up as favourites in this tie despite finishing lower than Burnley last season and losing in their opening two matches – including last weekend’s battering against Tottenham where they were trounced 5-2. The Home/Draw Double Chance looks the best bet here at 6/10.
Sunday 27 September
Sheffield United 33/20
Draw 47/20
Leeds 33/20
(13:00)
Sheffield United have been disappointing following their incredible campaign last season, losing their opening two encounters, failing to score in each game. They’ll certainly have a chance to change that when they welcome the league’s most entertaining team from the opening two rounds, Leeds, who have been involved in two seven-goal thrillers. The Peacocks lost 4-3 at Anfield to Liverpool and then beat Fulham by the same scoreline at Elland Road. As was the case in their last two fixtures, Over 2.5 Goals looks the way to go at 19/20.
Tottenham 5/10
Draw 34/10
Newcastle United 11/2
(15:00)
Tottenham look to continue where they left off last week where they smashed Southampton 5-2 with Harry Kane involved in all five goals, while Heung-min Son scored four of them to register Jose Mourinho’s first points of the new season at Spurs. Newcastle have been very hot and very cold this campaign, beating West Ham United away, before losing 3-0 at home to Brighton. You never know what to expect from the Magpies, while Tottenham travel to North Macedonia on Thursday in their UEFA Europa League qualifier. Both Teams to Score looks a fair bet at 17/20.
Manchester City 3/10
Draw 47/10
Leicester City 7/1
(17:30)
Manchester City certainly didn’t look off the pace in their season opener, getting the better of Wolves in a 3-1 victory at Molineux. Pep Guardiola’s side looked sharp with their high pressing and proved that it was the right decision to start Phil Foden after the 20-year-old England sensation made headlines for the wrong reasons while on international duty. Leicester City currently top the standings after two games, scoring a joint-high seven goals, winning both their matches played. City made a statement of intent in their tie against Wolves and should do the same against the Foxes. Back Guardiola’s men to Win & Both Teams to Score at 5/4.
West Ham 47/20
Draw 22/10
Wolves 5/4
(20:00)
West Ham United suffered back-to-back defeats in their first two matches, but looked very much up for it against Arsenal, losing 2-1 right at the end. West Ham are one of the favourites to go down, because of their inability to convert chances when they’re on the front foot. Wolves gave a decent account of themselves in the second half on Monday night against Manchester City, and could have got a positive result had they also converted their chances. Wolves were definitely unlucky against City, while the Hammers have positives of their own to take from their defeat against the Gunners. Perhaps a draw looks a big play at 22/10.
Monday 28 September
Fulham 18/10
Draw 9/4
Aston Villa 16/10
(19:00)
Fulham’s return to the Premier League has been a rocky one as Scott Parker’s men have lost both matches, conceding seven goals. What did benefit the Cottagers was Aleksandar Mitrovic’s inclusion into the line-up where he marked his return with a brace against Leeds. Aston Villa looked really sharp on Monday night in their opener against Sheffield United, beating a 10-man Blades side 1-0. Emiliano Martinez marked his debut with a clean sheet and a superb penalty save, while Ollie Watkins looked a menace up top. The Villans are my value bet this weekend at 16/10, get on!
Liverpool 5/10
Draw 37/10
Arsenal 5/1
(21:15)
TREBLE @ 7/1
Chelsea Totals – Over 2.5 Goals 13/10
Burnley Win/Draw 6/10
Man City Win & BTTS 5/4
