Defending champions Bayern Munich are pulling away from the chasing pack of teams with the Bavarians aiming to further distance themselves when they play host to in-form Hoffenheim. Meanwhile, Borussia Dortmund will look to get back to winning ways following two straight defeats to quality opposition. RB Leipzig and Bayer Leverkusen headline this round of matches as the second and third-placed teams meet in Saturday’s late kick-off. Don’t miss out on our 30/1 Quad on offer in this week’s preview, let’s get straight into the action.

Friday 29 January
Stuttgart 7/10
Draw 31/10
Mainz 33/10
Stuttgart will welcome the return to home soil following back-to-back defeats on their travels at Arminia Bielefeld (3-1) and Freiburg (2-0). The Reds are yet to taste victory at the Mercedes Benz Arena with five draws and three losses since re-joining the German top-flight. Mainz snapped their nine-game winless streak by causing the upset of the previous weekend by beating RB Leipzig 3-2. The Carnival club have a poor record on the road and will be without the services of striker Jean-Philippe Mateta who’s joined English club Crystal Palace. Stuttgart thumped Mainz 4-1 in the reverse tie, however, I’m opting for Both Teams to Score (Yes) at 5/10.
Saturday 30 January
Bayern Munich 1/4
Draw 6/1
Hoffenheim 8/1
Bayern Munich return to the Allianz Arena victorious after adding to Schalke’s woes in a 4-0 thrashing. The match saw the Bavarians’ talisman Robert Lewandowski become the first player to score in eight consecutive Bundesliga away games, while Joshua Kimmich bagged a hat-trick of assists. Hoffenheim come into the clash with back-to-back 3-0 wins over Hertha Berlin and Cologne, as striker Andrej Kramaric claimed four of those goals and leapfrogged Ivica Olic as the highest-scoring Croatian in Bundesliga history. Bayern will look to avenge their 4-1 loss suffered to Hoffenheim four months ago, so expect a goal-fest. Both Halves Over 1.5 Goals is my play at 12/10.
Borussia Dortmund 2/9
Draw 54/10
Augsburg 9/1
Borussia Dortmund come into the clash off with two straight defeats away at Bayer Leverkusen and Borussia Monchengladbach that has seen the Yellow and Blacks slip off the pace and find themselves 13 points behind leaders Bayern Munich. Augsburg stole all three points against Union Berlin which ended their three-game losing streak. The visitors need to come through their next four games against challenging opponents with points in the bag or could find themselves flirting with the relegation zone. Augsburg won the reverse tie 2-0, so expect Dortmund to come all guns blazing in this encounter. Erling Haaland is a gift at 7/20 in the Anytime Goalscorer market with Home to Score in Both Halves another solid option at 7/10.
Eintracht Frankfurt 7/10
Draw 3/1
Hertha Berlin 33/10
Eintracht Frankfurt continued their impressive run by claiming their fifth victory in six games. Portuguese striker Andre Silva is enjoying an excellent spell with nine goals in as many matches, while Luka Jovic has been making cameo appearances off the bench and also finding the back of the net which bodes well for the Eagles chances of improving on their current sixth spot in the standings. Hertha Berlin have parted ways with coach Bruno Labbadia and director of sport Michael Preetz following an underwhelming start to their campaign. Home defeats to Hoffenheim (3-0) and Werder Bremen (4-1) was the final straw in the manager’s nine-month stint at the helm of the Old Lady. Totals Home Team Over 1.5 Goals is priced at 6/10 if you have any doubts on the home win.
Union Berlin 22/10
Draw 5/2
Borussia Monchengladbach 11/10
Union Berlin return to the capital looking to get back to winning ways. The Iron Ones suffered back-to-back defeats for the first time this season with losses at RB Leipzig (1-0) and Augsburg (2-1). Since tasting defeat on the opening day, Union Berlin have gone unbeaten in eight games on home soil. Borussia Monchengladbach claimed their fourth win in five games in a 4-2 win over Borussia Dortmund. The Foals have impressed since the turn of the year by earning well-deserved victories over Bayern Munich and Dortmund. Take Marco Rose’s Monchengladbach to add another three points to their tally at 11/10.
Werder Bremen 9/10
Draw 26/10
Schalke 3/1
Werder Bremen claimed their fifth win of the campaign in impressive fashion with a 4-1 win at Hertha Berlin. The Green-Whites will target maximum points when bottom of the barrel Schalke come to town and against struggling Arminia Bielefeld in the next round. Schalke have lost three games on the bounce and remain winless on their travels this season, which needs to improve as soon as possible seeing as the Royal Blues have more favourable ties away from the Veltins Arena in February. Take Werder Bremen for their third consecutive win over Schalke.
RB Leipzig 17/20
Draw 28/10
Bayer Leverkusen 28/10
RB Leipzig suffered a shock 3-2 defeat to relegation-threatened Mainz last Saturday which has seen the Red Bulls drop eight points in the Bundesliga since the turn of the year. Julian Nagelsmann’s troops will be desperate to get back to winning ways and cut the seven-point lead on champions Bayern Munich. Bayer Leverkusen are also looking to overcome a slump of just one win from their last six games, which meant the Werkself surrendered top spot and trail the log-leaders by 10 points. Take these quality teams to cancel out each other for the fourth straight meeting at 28/10.
Sunday 31 January
Cologne 5/4
Draw 43/20
Arminia Bielefeld 49/20
Cologne will look to claim their first home win of the season when the Goats play host to Arminia Bielefeld in a massive six-pointer on Sunday. Worryingly for the visitors, Cologne managed wins over fellow relegation-strugglers Mainz and Schalke when it mattered the most. Arminia Bielefeld come off a 5-1 humbling against high-flying Eintracht Frankfurt that ended the Blues' three-game unbeaten run. I suggest not picking a winner and backing Under 2.5 Goals at 13/20.
Wolfsburg 17/20
Draw 11/4
Freiburg 3/1
Wolfsburg drew level on points with Bayer Leverkusen on the standings with a 1-0 win over the Werkself. The Wolves remain unbeaten at the Volkswagen Arena and will look to Dutch striker Wout Weghorst to continue his fine goalscoring form in order to retain their current position in the top four. Freiburg got back to winning ways against Stuttgart last time out. The Breisgau Brazilians have scored in 16 of their 18 Bundesliga clashes thus far which makes me look to the exotic markets. Wolfsburg Win & Both Teams to Score (Yes) is tipped at 5/2.
QUAD TIPPED @ 30/1
Bayern vs Hoffenheim – Both Halves Over 1.5 Goals 12/10
Borussia Monchengladbach Win 11/10
Werder Bremen Win 9/10
Wolfsburg Win & BTTS 5/2
