This is an extremely competitive five-furlong handicap but the value could lie with the speedy

He only weakened late into 4th on that occasion and he looks set to defy his recent five-pound hike. The three-week break would have helped his cause.

He was penalised three pounds for his exertions and now meets the runner-up on 1.5kgs better terms but the son of Jay Peg may enjoy the run of the race from the best draw today and he can hold that form. He posted a creditable effort behind
READYTOGORIGHTNOW in a feature over this c & d in his penultimate start and now faces his conqueror on 9kgs better terms for the 2.75 lengths defeat.

EARTHFLIGHT is one of them and after just three starts in the 'Mother City' she has been moved on. She was moderate in her former province but showed gradual improvement from each outing. Interestingly, though, she competed in a quality field last time when beaten just under six lengths at the wire and that formline has worked out well. The new recruit to the Gavin Smith ranks could make big improvement from her good draw.
