Magic Tips Preview
The three-year-old filly DAWN CALLING has gone nearly a whole campaign without adding to her maiden victory but she has produced some useful performances along the way and is extremely well-weighted in today's line-up.
The daughter of Trippi was outrun late into 2nd by a decent Cape visitor over this c & d recently and she should hold her own from a midfield barrier.
The Gauteng visitor ROMANY PRINCE has campaigned with plenty of success at feature level but he has some work to do at the weights with the top selection. However, the Kahal gelding is drawn best of all and can certainly raise his game with top jockey Delpech up.
The four-year-old is his stable's only runner on the card.
The defending champion NO WORRIES had a decent comeback run at Grade 2 level on this course last month and of course, the 4th placed entrant Captain America boosted the formline with a subsequent victory at the highest level.
This veteran campaigner clearly won't have things as easy as he did twelve months ago but will strip fitter and could be a threat over his preferred distance.
The obvious concern is that he races on this tight circuit for the first time and is yet to experience racing under the lights.
