The Exeter Chiefs will be looking to bounce back from a poor run of form when they host Saracens on Saturday the 3rd of March.
With four losses coming in their last six matches in all competitions, Exeter will be under pressure to stop the rot and put some consistency back into their game when they host Saracens on Saturday. The defending champions currently occupy pole position, sitting four-points above their opponents of this week, and will look to advance their quest of maintaining that place when the two collide at Sandy Park.

Exeter
Exeter have been all class again this season. The 2016/17 Aviva Premiership champions have recorded 11-wins from their 16-matches thus far, to see themselves leading the way with six-matches in hand; a pretty handy position to be in indeed. That said, their form in recent weeks has been less than convincing, with their being dumped out of the Champions Cup followed up by losses to Worcester (twice) and then the Wasps.
They did, however, manage a 43-20 Anglo-Welsh Cup win over Saracens in that time, and will be confident of dishing them out two defeats in three-weeks.
Despite that victory, Exeter will realize that the Saracens outfit they face this week will be a different beast entirely; indeed, both teams will be back to full-strength, minus, of course, their Six Nations internationals. Still, Sandy Park is a venue at which the Chiefs know how to grind out wins and I'm banking on them pulling off another this Saturday.
Saracens
With the dangling carrot in the form of potentially leading the Premiership after this round, Saracens won’t be lacking in motivation. A bonus-point win of more than seven-points will see Saracens climb to the summit of the log and heap added spice to what has already been a fascinating campaign to date.
This Saturday’s matchup will be a real test of Sarries’ mettle, especially without their seasoned international veterans, but this may just bring out the best in a side that will still have the likes of Alex Goode, Schalk Brits and Brad Barritt to call upon.
Although it remains a pity that the England campaigners are absent for this titanic clash, it will enable us to take a look into the of depth in talent in English rugby. There are some great young talents in both camps and this week represents the perfect platform to elevate their statuses.
Verdict: Exeter 11/20
The Chiefs’ pragmaticism will see them home, in what are expected to be wet conditions, to maintain their standing at the top of the Premiership pile.
