LADY LU showed the expected improvement second time out where, although drifting in the betting, she won unextended over six furlongs. The manner in which she won that day would suggest that she will almost certainly enjoy the step-up in distance.
Race 3: SMART WILLIAM (1)

SMART WILLIAM showed pace in his last outing over six furlongs but failed to go on with his effort. He found betting support that day after a promising first run over the same trip. He lost two lengths at the start that day but was running on in the closing stages. On that effort, he should be at home over the seven furlongs.
Race 7: FYNBOS (3)
Jockey: MJ Byleveld - Trainer: V Marshall
The Maningi Indaba formline of 16 November over this c&d features prominently in this race with over half of today's runners coming out of that contest. FYNBOS did best that day finishing 1.3L in front of POWER GIRL. She is, however, 3kgs worse off at today's weights, but she is preferred as she has only had the five runs to date and has the greater room for improvement.
