The Waikato Chiefs will be looking to bag their first win of the Super Rugby Aotearoa season when they play host to a Hurricanes side that is also yet to get a win under their belts.
While it's still early doors in the season, both teams need a win here if they are going to have any chance of topping the table come the close of the campaign.

Chiefs
The Chiefs were once again the victims of some harsh luck as they succumbed yet another narrow defeat going down 18-13 to the Crusaders in Canterbury. This was a major setback for Warren Gatland's side as they now only have two points from three games and are at serious risk of becoming tournament also-rans.
Prior to last weekend's loss, the Chiefs had gone down 12-24 to the Blues and 28-27 to the Highlanders. While the Blues outclassed them, they were in with a great shout against the Highlanders until be sunk by a late drop goal.
Gatland's charges were also well in the game against the Crusaders last week but some poor decision making - coupled with a couple dodgy reffing decisions - saw the Chiefs once again fail to convert a sound opportunity to win a game.
Hurricanes
The Canes are currently at the foot of the table and trail the Chiefs by two points. They do have a game in hand, however, and a win here would put them back into the championship title mix.
Unlike their counterparts for this Saturday, the 'Canes have been thoroughly outclassed during the opening for weeks of the 'comp suffering defeats at the hands of the Blues (30-20) and the Crusaders (25-39).
There could be some good news for the Hurricanes this week as Jordie Barrett could well return to the field of play. The youngest of the Barrett brothers sat out of the opening two rounds and was sorely missed by his side.
Verdict: Chiefs
This is a very interesting game. Both sides are struggling for form but both also have x-factor players in abundance. I'm going to go the cautious route here and back the Chiefs on the straight. I'll be doubling this into a straight Crusaders win which will give me a decent return for the weekend.
