The Bundesliga served up a few upsets with high-flying Eintracht Frankfurt taking maximum points off champions Bayern Munich, while relegation-threatened Mainz continue to claw out of the drop zone with an impressive performance at Borussia Park against Monchengladbach.

This weekend sees RB Leipzig play host to the underperforming Monchengladbach in the most high-profile clash with a number of quality teams, playing at home, expected to claim wins over lesser opponents. Don’t miss out on our 13/1 Quad that I’m confident will come home flying!
Friday 26 February
Werder Bremen 31/10
Draw 28/10
Eintracht Frankfurt 8/10 (21:30)
Werder Bremen kick off Friday’s action by hosting high-flying Eintracht Frankfurt with the hopes of ending their three-game winless streak. The Green-Whites have been poor on home soil, only managing to claim maximum points over promoted Arminia Bielefeld and a struggling Augsburg outfit which doesn’t bode well for their chances. Eintracht Frankfurt became the third club to defeat Bayern Munich last weekend. The Eagles put on an impressive display, extending their winning streak to five straight matches – they haven’t tasted a loss in 11 Bundesliga clashes. At 8/10, I’m all over the in-form visitors.
Saturday 27 February
Stuttgart 5/10
Draw 7/2
Schalke 46/10 (16:30)
Stuttgart edged a 1-0 win at the Rhein Energie Stadion against fellow relegation fighters Cologne last Saturday thanks to a Sasa Kalajdzic strike early in the second half, his fifth goal in four matches. The Reds now take aim at bottom-of-the-barrel Schalke to try adding more distance between themselves and the drop zone. Schalke are nine points from safety which is a very difficult task to overcome seeing as the Royal Blues have tallied a total of nine points after 22 matches. Take Stuttgart for the win at 5/10, however, Clean Sheet Home Team (Yes) is also worth a punt at 14/10.
Bayern Munich 1/5
Draw 6/1
Cologne 10/1 (16:30)
Bayern Munich returned victorious from the FIFA Club World Cup but also with two key members of the team having to self-isolate after testing positive for Covid-19. Thomas Muller and Benjamin Pavard didn’t feature in the defeat to Eintracht Frankfurt, adding to the Bavarians’ woes who were already missing the services of Serge Gnabry. Nevertheless, Cologne is expected to suffer their seventh straight loss to the champions at the Allianz Arena. With Leon Goretzka back in the heart of midfield, I can only see one outcome, take Bayern to Win Both Halves at 12/10.
Borussia Dortmund 2/11
Draw 6/1
Arminia Bielefeld 12/1 (16:30)
Borussia Dortmund have enjoyed back-to-back victories over Sevilla and Schalke that got the Yellow and Blacks back to winning ways. Erling Haaland and company will look to claim another three points against the league’s new-boys before facing a gauntlet of challenging matches against Borussia Monchengladbach (DFB Pokal), Bayern Munich (Bundesliga) and Sevilla (UEFA Champions League). Arminia Bielefeld come off their third loss in four games, having conceded 14 goals in the same period. Home to Win Both Halves is my play at 12/10.
Wolfsburg 13/20
Draw 3/1
Hertha Berlin 37/10 (16:30)
Wolfsburg continued their excellent form with a 3-0 win last Friday. “Die Wolfe” moved up to third in the standings with the victory, behind Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig, and haven’t conceded a goal in 670 minutes of action across all competitions. Hertha Berlin, on the other hand, is in completely contrasting form, going winless in eight matches and come off a 3-0 defeat to RB Leipzig. It does get any easier than this, add Wolfsburg to all weekend multiples.
RB Leipzig 13/20
Draw 3/1
Borussia Monchengladbach 37/10 (19:30)
RB Leipzig claimed their fourth straight Bundesliga victory with relative ease in Berlin and now lock horns with fellow UEFA Champions League round-of-16 participants Borussia Monchengladbach at the Red Bull Arena. The visitors face Manchester City in the Champions League in midweek action and are priced as 37/10 outsiders after going four Bundesliga meetings without a win. The Foals also come off a 2-1 defeat to Mainz where coach Marco Rose tried resting key players for the clash against Pep Guardiola’s Sky-Blue army that backfired horribly. “Die Roten Bullen” will seek to avenge their 1-0 defeat to Monchengladbach earlier this season, my money is on the home win.
Sunday 28 February
Union Berlin 14/10
Draw 47/20
Hoffenheim 19/10 (14:30)
Union Berlin snapped a five-match winless streak by edging out a 1-0 win in Freiburg against all the odds. The “Iron Ones” return home to the Stadion An der Alten Forsterei where they’ve been tough to beat, enjoying a 10-game unbeaten run that includes four wins and six draws. Hoffenheim come off a 4-0 victory over Werder Bremen but, will also have the “dreaded UEFA Europa League hangover” to overcome after their Thursday encounter with Norwegian side Molde. These sides are tipped to share the spoils at 47/20.
Mainz 11/10
Draw 49/20
Augsburg 47/20 (16:30)
Mainz continued their upturn in form with a 2-1 win over Borussia Monchengladbach – their third win from five games that would’ve definitely lifted spirits at the club currently placed 17th. The Carnival Club now find themselves within touching distance of Hertha Berlin and Arminia Bielefeld, whom they trail by a single point. Augsburg keep facing top opposition and taking losses in the month of February. The visitors shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw with Bayer Leverkusen in a game that was controlled well in large parts but succumbed to a late Leverkusen equaliser. Compared to the opposition faced previously, this is a game coach Heiko Herrlich would’ve surely earmarked to claim maximum points. There were four goals scored in the previous meeting involving these opponents, back Over 2.5 Goals at 9/10.
Bayer Leverkusen 7/10
Draw 29/10
Freiburg 34/10 (19:00)
Bayer Leverkusen are enduring a horrid spell that has seen the Werkself win just twice in 10 Bundesliga encounters. Manager Peter Bosz is under severe pressure to turn the results around or face being replaced as head coach. Leverkusen have slipped out of the Champions League qualification spots and desperately need to get back to winning ways, considering teams like Borussia Dortmund are beginning to hit their stride. Freiburg had their impressive home record snapped with defeat to Union Berlin last time out and travel to the Bay Arena with hopes of claiming their first win since 2012. Both Teams to Score (Yes) is the best bet at 6/10.
QUAD @ 13/1
Eintracht Frankfurt Win 8/10
Bayern Munich – Home to Win Both Halves 12/10
Borussia Dortmund – Home to Win Both Halves 12/10
Wolfsburg Win 13/20
