FLAMINGO VLEI represents a yard that is gradually coming to form and this daughter of Silvano built on her moderate sprint debut when showing some improvement over the mile, second time out. She had an awkward start in the soft underfoot conditions on the classic track that day but was making late progress in a competitive line-up. She should relish the rise to ten furlongs on her pedigree and the Alec Laird-trained inmate will have more to offer. She is the yard's only representative on the day and top jockey Gavin Lerena takes the ride.
