YANGA SC imefanikiwa kwenda Nusu Fainali ya Kombe la Shirikisho la Soka Tanzania (TFF), au Azam Sports Federation Cup (ASFC) baada ya ushindi wa mabao 3-0 dhidi ya Tanzania Prisons ya Mbeya Uwanja wa Taifa, Dar es Salaam.
Huo ulikuwa mchezo wa mwisho wa Robo Fainali uliowekwa kiporo kutokana na Yanga kuwa kwenye michuano ya klabu Afrika na sasa inaungana na Azam FC, Mbao FC na Simba SC katika hatua ya Nusu Fainali.
Droo ya Nusu Fainali inatarajiwa kuchezeshwa kesho Saa 11:00 jioni katika studio za Azam TV, wadhamini wa michuano hiyo, zilizopo Tabata mjini Dar es Salaam.
Katika mchezo wa leo uliochezeshwa na refa Hans Mabena aliyesaidiwa na Mohamed Mkono wote wa Tanga na Arnold Bugado wa Singida, hadi mapumziko Yanga walikuwa mbele kwa mabao 2-0 ambayo yote yamefungwa na wachezaji wa kigeni.
Mshambuliaji wa kimataifa wa Burundi, Amissi Tambwe aliifungia Yanga bao la kwanza dakika 15 kwa kichwa akiunganisha kona ya winga Geoffrey Mwashiuya kutoka upande wa kulia.
Kiungo mshambuliaji Mzambia, Obrey Chirwa naye akawainua vitini mashabiki wa Yanga dakika ya 40 akifunga kwa kichwa pia kuunganisha krosi ya beki wa kushoto, Mwinyi Hajji Mngwali.
Pamoja na Yanga kumaliza dakika 45 za kwanza wakiongoza 2-0, lakini wapinzani wao nao walionyesha upinzani.
Mshambuliaji hatari wa Prisons, Jeremiah Juma Mgunda alipiga pembeni dakika ya sita baada ya kufanikiwa kumpita beki wa Yanga, Kevin Patrick Yondani aliyeteleza na kudondoka chini.
Benjamin Asukile naye akapoteza nafasi ya wazi dakika ya nane baada ya kupiga nje pia kufuatia krosi ya beki Salum Kimenya.
Kipindi cha pili, Yanga walikianza kwa mabadiliko, kipa wa tatu Benno Kakolanya aliyeanzishwa leo akitolewa na nafasi yake kuchukuliwa na kipa wa kwanza, Deo Munishi ‘Dida’.
Na mwanzoni tu mwa kipindi hicho, winga Simon Happygod Msuva akaifungia Yanga bao la tatu dakika ya 46 kwa shuti kali.
Dida akaokoa mkwaju wa penalti wa Victor Hangai dakika ya 55 uliotolewa baada ya Nahodha wa Yanga, Nadir Haroub ‘Cannavaro’ kumchezea rafu Meshack Suleiman.
