FUJIN appeared in desperate need of his comeback run over a similar distance recently but he will strip fitter and should bounce back to his best form. Of course the bay gelding produced a creditable penultimate performance when beaten exactly three lengths on this course in handicap company. He was runner-up to subsequent winner Mister Colin prior to that.

THE GOON SHOW is lightly raced and may prefer dropping slightly in distance today. The Pathfork gelding had two much improved comeback efforts up to this distance after being rested and gelded. He raced in a decent line-up over the mile recently and that formline could be worth following.
