Our soccer pundit previews the German Bundesliga week 30 action which kicks off on Friday 13 April 2018.
And that’s all she wrote! Bayern Munich reclaimed the Bundesliga for a sixth consecutive season after thrashing Augsburg 4-1 at the WWK Arena. The Bavarians will likely chop and change their team going forward, giving some of their fringe players more game time.
The fight for European football remains wide open, while the relegation battle is still on-going. There are five rounds of action to get through, let’s see if we can make a bit of money off of it.

Wolfsburg earned a much-needed 2-0 win away to Freiburg last time out and will be hoping to build on that. Augsburg are winless in their last three matches with two defeats, including a 4-1 home defeat at the hands of champions Bayern Munich.
A tightly contested affair is on the cards with both sides struggling for form.
However, I’m backing Wolfsburg to utilize home advantage.
Saturday 14 April
Hoffenheim 5/10

Hamburg 5/1
Hoffenheim are unbeaten in their last six matches, including a 6-0 victory over Cologne in their last home matches. Hamburg have the worst away record in the league this season with just one win from 14 games, scoring nine goals and conceding 28 times.
I fully expect Hoffenheim to take maximum points from this clash but I’m in search of more value.
Back the hosts on the (-1) Handicap at 13/10!
Stuttgart 17/20
Draw 51/20
Hannover 32/10
Stuttgart were demolished 3-0 at Dortmund last time out, ending an undefeated run of eight matches with five wins and three draws. Hannover are without a victory in their last nine games on the road, including two losses on the bounce.
The Reds have been strong on their ground this term and will be looking to maintain that form.
The home team should be backed.
Bayer Leverkusen 8/10

Eintracht Frankfurt 34/10
Bayer Leverkusen were brilliant last time out, hammering Leipzig 4-1 in emphatic fashion. Eintracht Frankfurt have been poor on the road in recent weeks with four consecutive defeats, scoring three times and shipping nine goals.
Die Werkself have won four of the last five meetings between the sides and will be eager to build on that.
Take Bayer Leverkusen to come out on top.
Hertha Berlin 21/20

Cologne 26/10
Hertha Berlin are placed 10th on the standings with just eight wins from 29 matches. However, Cologne are pitted to the bottom of the table with 10 losses from 14 travels, scoring nine goals and conceding 28 times.
The hosts have won back-to-back league matches at home against Cologne and are tipped to make it three in a row.
Go for Hertha Berlin to claim the victory.
Bayern Munich 3/10

Monchengladbach 15/2
Bayern Munich are unbeaten on their ground this season with 12 wins from 14 games, scoring 46 goals and conceding just nine. Monchengladbach grinded out a hard-fought 2-1 win over Hertha Berlin last weekend and will be looking to build on that.
The Bavarians are likely to rest a few of their star players with the league wrapped up, giving ‘Gladbach an opportunity to snatch the win.
It might be a bit of a left field call, but the away Win/Draw Double Chance seems well worth a punt at 23/10.
Sunday 15 April

Borussia Dortmund 16/10
Schalke have been excellent at home in recent weeks with three straight wins, scoring five goals and conceding only once. Borussia Dortmund have won three of their last four games, including a 3-0 home win against Stuttgart last time out.
In the reverse leg, the sides played to a tremendous 4-4 draw with Schalke showing amazing fighting spirit after going 4-0 down.
Another cracker of a contest is on the cards with Both Teams to Score – Yes – tipped at 6/10.
Werder Bremen 19/10
Draw 49/20
Leipzig 27/20
Werder Bremen have won three of their last four matches but suffered a 2-1 defeat at Hannover last weekend and will be looking to bounce back strong.
Leipzig were humiliated 4-1 in front if their own fans at the hands of Bayer Leverkusen.
Four of the last five head-to-heads have seen the Over 2.5 Goals market breached and more of the same seems likely – follow the pattern at 7/10.
Monday 16 April
Mainz 5/4

Freiburg 23/10
Mainz will wrap up round 30 when they host Freiburg on Monday evening. The hosts are winless in their last six matches, while Freiburg also lay claim to a winless run of six.
Both teams might see this as an opportunity to go for all three points but it’s also a contest neither club will want to lose with the relegation-play-offs a possibility for both sides.
A cagey matchup is expected with the Totals – Under 2.5 Goals – tipped at 6/10.
