The Australians have kept it tidy this season, with one loss from their seven matches, and one draw against the Sharks in Durban. The hosts have five more matches remaining at home including this one against the Lions - so they'll do well to grab as many points as possible down in New South Wales.
Their final five home fixtures include ties against the Blues, Crusaders, Highlanders, and Chiefs. This latter part of their campaign will test their mettle and could catapult them to a play-off or see them fall away completely.

The Lions have their captain Warren Whiteley back in time for the tour, but unfortunately, Aphiwe Dyanti and Ross Cronje are still out and will continue their recovery in South Africa. Although they'll be missing their two players - Swys de Bruin will still be spoilt for choice as he carries a talented team to face the Waratahs, Reds, Hurricanes, and Highlanders.
The Lions have a few kinks in their armor although placed second in the overall standings, they've lost three of their last five matches, against the Crusaders, Jaguares, and Blues. Which begs the question are they able to handle this upcoming tour? Their defence is far too leaky, something that the Hurricanes and Highlanders will both look to exploit.
Verdict: Lions +2 (9/10)
Since the Lions are touring the bookies don't have much faith after their showing in Argentina. I'm confident the Lions will put this Waratahs team away but not by much.
