The Italian Serie A resumes this weekend with round 24.
With 14 rounds of Serie A action remaining, Inter Milan have taken the lead at the summit in dramatic fashion, leapfrogging Juventus following a come-from-behind 4-2 victory over city-rivals AC Milan.
It looks as though it’s going to go down to the wire with Inter, Juventus and Lazio all in the running. Let’s find out what gameweek 24 has in store for us.

SPAL 22/10
We kick-start the round with a relegation battle between Lecce and SPAL. The hosts have been excellent of late with two wins on the bounce, including a 4-0 home win over Torino before ousting Napoli 3-2 at San Paolo Stadium. SPAL are rooted to the foot of the table with just 15 points.
They have lost three matches on the trot, scoring only three times and conceding 10 goals.
The home win is the way to go.

Genoa 31/10
Bologna have been in top form with three consecutive wins and remain unbeaten in their last four home games. Genoa are placed 18th on the standings and have the worst away record in the league as they remain winless on their travels.
The Red and Blues are just a point off the European places and will be motivated to claim the all-important win.
Back Bologna to bag all three points.
Atalanta 8/10

Roma 11/4
Atalanta returned to winning ways last weekend following a hard-fought 2-1 win away to Fiorentina. Roma have been poor of late with back-to-back defeats and both losses produced over five goals.
The last four meetings between these sides has seen 17 goals scored at a rate of 4.25 per match. I think you know where this is heading.

Hellas Verona 37/20
Udinese are without a win in their last four matches, including three defeats. Hellas Verona have slowly made their way up the standings to sixth place and are now unbeaten in their last eight games with four wins and four draws. The hosts have won the last two meetings at home, scoring six goals without conceding any.
However, form is not on their side, but home advantage should level the playing field.
The Totals – Under 2.5 Goals – market is tipped at 6/10.
Juventus 2/11

Brescia 13/1
Juventus return to their fortress following a disappointing 2-1 defeat at Hellas Verona. However, they remain unbeaten at their ground with 10 wins from 11 matches, scoring 27 goals and conceding just 10.
19th place Brescia have managed just four wins from 23 games and that doesn’t look likely to improve here.

Fiorentina 33/20
Sampdoria are off the back of an impressive 3-1 victory away to Torino and will be looking to build on that. Fiorentina have been poor of late with two losses on the bounce, scoring only once and conceding five goals.
The corresponding fixture ended 2-1 to the Viola, but with home advantage, I’m expecting it to go the other way.
Sampdoria offer great value to bag maximum points.
Cagliari 28/10

Napoli 9/10
Cagliari might have started the season like a house on fire but that flame has certainly died out as they remain winless in their last 10 matches in all competitions, including six defeats and four draws.
Napoli, on the other hand, made a miserable start to the season and while they showed a glimpse of turning that form on its head, they were disappointingly defeated 3-2 at home against Lecce last time out. Neither team will be backed here.

Lazio 13/10

Inter Milan 19/10
In what’s undoubtedly the Serie A match of the weekend, Lazio and Inter Milan will square off in a top of the table clash. The Eagles are unbeaten in 18 league games and also remain unscathed on home soil with nine wins from 12 matches.
Inter Milan have been brilliant with just one defeat all season as they lead at the summit.
I’m usually not one to back the draw, but this is likely to be an extremely tight and cagey affair with the stalemate tipped at 5/2.

Torino 17/4
And finally, we end off proceedings at the San Siro with AC Milan looking to get back to winning ways following a 4-2 defeat to city-rivals Inter Milan. Torino have been horrendous in recent weeks with four losses in a row, scoring only twice and conceding 16 times.
This won’t be as cut as dry as the form guide suggests, but I can’t see this ending on a positive note for them.
AC Milan are tipped to come out on top.
