The French Top 14 action continues this coming Saturday with Stade and Bordeaux set to lock horns in what should be an absolute humdinger.
A Bordeaux Begles side who will be high on confidence after last weekend's victory over La Rochelle leave the comforts of home to take on Stade Francais in the French capital. This weekend's hosts suffered a rather heavy away defeat to Castres last week and will be looking to atone immediately.

A year that started off so brightly for Stade has turned into a thing of nightmares. A failed merger with Racing Metro at the tail end of last season saw the fans revolt while this season has seemingly seen the Stade players themselves revolt. Maybe revolt is the wrong word but the men from the French capital are hardly giving it 100% when they take the pitch.
If Stade is to salvage anything from a dire 2017/18 campaign, both in Europe and domestically, then they are going to need to start bagging points. They currently occupy the 12th position in the Top 14 standings and sit 11 points off the final playoff berth. They also head into this off the back of a 22 point - away defeat to Castres, which was their fourth successive away loss.
Thankfully for fans of the team from the French capital, their side's home record is a lot healthier than their away record. Stade have proved a tough nut to crack at the Stade Jean Bouin after beating heavy hitters Montpellier, Racing Metro and La Rochelle at the ground.
Bordeaux Begles
Not many people, myself included, gave the Begles a sniff against La Rochelle last week and they proved all us naysayers wrong as they racked up a marvellous 29-19 victory over Europe's form side. The victory was made all the more impressive due to the fact that the Begles were a man down for the majority of the second stanza due to Jean-Baptiste Dubié receiving his marching orders for a high tackle.
Credit to Bordeaux, they have looked a much-improved side since late-November and are unlucky not to register more victories going down by a narrow margin to Toulouse and drawing with Brive. Last weekend's victory may just bee a sign that Lady Luck is finally starting to shine down on them.

You're likely to see a handicap around the 5.5 mark for this one. If you're offered anything above the 3.5 mark I suggest you jump on it as Bordeaux will give Stade a real run for their money here.
