Our soccer pundit previews the German Bundesliga week 22 action which kicks off on Friday 9 February 2018.
Bayern Munich are embarrassing their title-challengers, running away with the Bundesliga for yet another season, as they remain on course to wrap up the league in record time. The European places and relegation battle is still ongoing so stay tuned for the outstanding 13 rounds of football.

Augsburg 7/2
Leipzig will open proceedings on Friday evening against Augsburg. The Red Bulls returned to winning ways last time out after grinding out a 1-0 win away to Monchengladbach, while Augsburg ousted Eintracht Frankfurt 3-0 on home soil. The reverse tie saw a cagey 1-0 for the Fuggerstadter and I’m expecting another close call.
The Under 2.5 Goals market is the way to go at 9/10.

Freiburg 26/10
Hannover find themselves placed 10th on the standings after a lack of consistency, combined with mediocre football. Freiburg are unbeaten in their last nine games with five draws and four wins. The reverse tie ended 1-1 and looking at the form guide, another stalemate is more than likely.
However, FFC are showing much more consistency and with that being said, I’m backing Freiburg on the Win/Draw Double Chance at 7/10.
Hoffenheim 13/20

Mainz 37/10
Hoffenheim have been dismal in recent weeks and remain winless in their last five matches with three losses. However, Mainz are third from bottom on the log without a win in their last 15 travels, a run which falls just short of a year! Hoffenheim have won the last three meetings at home against Mainz and will be determined to build on that.
The home win should be backed.
Eintracht Frankfurt 9/10

Cologne 32/10
Eintracht Frankfurt were humbled last time out as Augsburg ran riot, thrashing the Eagles 3-0. Cologne’s four-match unbeaten streak came to an end last weekend with Dortmund claiming maximum points in a 3-2 victory. Both sides will be desperate to return to winning ways and I’m expecting an end-to-end game of football.
Get on Both Teams to Score – Yes – at 9/10.
Borussia Dortmund 7/20

Hamburg 15/2
Borussia Dortmund extended their unbeaten run to six matches last time out, as Michy Batshuayi bagged two goals and an assist for a Man of the Match debut performance in a 3-2 victory at Cologne. Relegation-threatened Hamburg are winless in their last nine games on the road, including seven defeats.
BVB are tipped on the (-1) Handicap at 9/10.
Bayer Leverkusen 11/20

Hertha Berlin 47/10
Bayer Leverkusen have suffered just one defeat on home soil – at the hands of Bayern Munich – and are unbeaten in their last three games with two wins. Hertha Berlin are winless in their last four matches and have travelled dismally. Nonetheless, the last five meetings between these sides have produced a total of 21 goals at an average of 4.2 per game.
With that being said, the Totals – Over 2.5 Goals- market is worth backing at 6/10.

Schalke 17/2
Bayern Munich are unbeaten on home soil since the 2nd of March 2016! A run of 32 matches without a loss. Schalke were disappointing last weekend, going down 2-1 on their ground against relegation-candidates Werder Bremen. The Bavarians have won five of the last six meetings against Schalke, including a 3-0 victory in the reverse leg.
Back Bayern Munich on the Half-time/Full-time win at 15/20.

Monchengladbach 18/10
Stuttgart have been dismal at home with three losses from their last four matches. Monchengladbach have been poor of late with back-to-back defeats but hold an impressive record against their opponents. Die Fohlen have won the last five meetings against Stuttgart, scoring 12 goals and conceding just once.
Take Gladbach on the Win/Draw Double Chance at 5/10.
Werder Bremen 21/20

Wolfsburg 51/20
Werder Bremen impressed last time out, claiming a hard-earned 2-1 win away to Schalke. Wolfsburg were held to a 1-1 home draw against an out-of-sorts Stuttgart team. However, neither team has been outstanding in the goal-scoring department this season.
The Totals – Under 2.5 Goals – market is tipped at 17/20.
