Of course this chesntut filly had a credita- ble recent display in a Grade 1 in KZN and she beat subsequent easy winner Railtrip over this c & d on debut prior to that. She is her jockey and trainer's only entrant on the day and she should enjoy the likely blistering tempo.

STAR OF JOBURG expectedly failed to handle the mile at a high level behind subsequent Grade 3 winner Yakeen despite a false pace recently but the promising three-year old will be a major contender over today's distance. He finished smartly to beat similar rivals over this trip in his penultimate start and the runner-up Shogun boosted that formline when winning subsequently.

The slight drop in distance is a worry for the improving bay but he seems to have escaped with just the minimum two pound penalty and should be highly competitive once again.
