CATCHMASTER is way better than his disappointing second showing over this c & d against winners but the 3rd placed entrant Voices Of Light boosted that formline with an easy subsequent triumph. This bay colt had produced a high quality debut run despite suffering a bump at the furlong pole prior to that and he can bounce straight back for his in-form yard.

TUNDRA showed smart improvement despite shifting his ground in a competitive c & d event behind winners last month. The Smith trained inmate was demoted to 4th after finishing runner-up but the 3rd placed entrant Voices Of Light boosted that formline when easily winning his subsequent start. Intere- stingly, today's main market rival COAL was comfortably beaten by the the same rival albeit on his decent debut over the minimum distance earlier this month.

The juvenile ROYAL FORT has shown promise and his last sprint on the polytrack clearly indicated that he could prefer more ground. He was beaten by a fair older rival over seven furlongs in his penultimate start but should relish today's rise to the mile and can account for this ordinary field.

ICARUS FLIGHT took off late to beat a few of today's rivals in a similar c & d event four weeks ago and the consistent three-year old possibly escaped with just the minimum two pound penalty. He will again benefit from a likely strong tempo and rather interestingly his time was only three-hundredths of a second slower than today's likely favourite AFRICAN VICTORY who campaigned just over an hour earlier that day.
