Our football expert previews round 13 of the Italian Serie A which resumes on Saturday the 24th of November 2018.
It’s back to business for club football following the last international break of the year. Just a quick recap. Juventus lead the rest of the top flight – no surprise there – with Napoli their closest rival, six points off the pace.
Atalanta looks to have finally found a winning formula with four victories on the spin and at the bottom of the standings, Chievo remain winless. Let’s find out what’s good on the betting front in round 13 of the Italian Serie A.
Saturday 24 November
Udinese 33/10

Roma 8/10
Udinese are on the brink of slipping into the relegation zone after suffering six losses from their last seven matches, including back-to-back defeats. Roma will look to kick-off where they left off after thumping Sampdoria 4-1 on home soil before the break.
The hosts needed the international break to regroup and strategize but was it enough time? I don’t think so.
They have only scored 11 goals in 12 games and Roma are tipped to come away with the all-important victory.

SPAL 18/1
The defending champions and runaway table-toppers seem to be cruising and face what seems to be a walk in the park on Saturday evening. However, the Old Lady won’t take SPAL lightly and should maintain their unbeaten record at home (five wins and one draw from six matches).
The White-Blues have been dismal on the road with four losses from six games, scoring five goals and conceding double that amount.
Back Juve to Win Both Halves at 21/20.
Inter Milan 1/4
Draw 5/1
Frosinone 10/1
Inter Milan are on the up with four wins in a row, scoring 10 goals and conceding just one goal. Newly-promoted Frosinone are placed second from bottom on the log with just one victory from 12 matches and will look to upset the applecart.
The Canaries have scored the joint least number of goals this season (10) and with that being said, I can’t see them finding the back of the net, let alone earning a point.
Get on the Home to Win to Nil market – Yes – at 19/20.
Sunday 25 November
Parma 2/1

Sassuolo 13/10
Parma have impressed me since their return to the top flight. They might lack consistency but they don’t lack a fighting team spirit. The Crusaders ground out a 2-1 win away to Torino before the break and offer good value to build on that.
Sassuolo are unbeaten in their last four matches with three draws and one win.
In a match that can go either way, I’m backing Parma to capitalize on home advantage.
Empoli 33/10

Atalanta 15/20
Relegation-threatened Empoli will face an uphill task keeping in-form Atalanta at bay. The hosts have, however, been fairly decent at home and will look to utilize that to their advantage. Atalanta have been top form with four consecutive wins, scoring 14 goals and conceding just three times.
That might be great goalscoring form but Empoli are with their backs against the wall and I’m expecting them to keep it tight and organized on Sunday.
The Totals – Under 2.5 Goals – market is tipped at 23/20.
Napoli 1/10

Chievo 23/1
This one has miss-match written all over it so let’s keep it short and sweet. Napoli are unbeaten at home with five wins from six matches, scoring 15 goals and conceding just four times. Chievo are yet to win a match, scoring 10 goals and conceding three times that amount (30).
It’s going to be an onslaught, mark my words!
The Both Halves Over 1.5 Goals – Yes – looks well worth a punt at 2/1.
Bologna 11/4

Fiorentina 21/20
Bologna are winless in their last five matches and what makes this clash interesting is that Fiorentina are yet to win a game on the road. The hosts have managed two victories from six matches on home soil but have a terrible record against the Viola.
Fiorentina have won seven of the last eight meetings between these teams and will be hungry to get their first away win of the season.
Rather stay away from this contest but if you must have a go, take the Viola to snatch a narrow victory.
Lazio 15/20

AC Milan 33/10
Lazio have won four of their six matches and will look to leapfrog AC Milan on Sunday evening. The Rossoneri were in top form with three wins in a row but Juventus stopped them in their tracks with a 2-0 victory before the break.
Lazio play attacking football, especially at home and AC Milan will be raring to get back to winning ways.
An end-to-end game of football is on the cards with Both Teams to Score – Yes – tipped at 7/10.
Genoa 31/20
Draw 23/10
Sampdoria 7/4
The penultimate match of the round will see Genoa welcome Sampdoria to Stadio Luigi Ferraris. The hosts are winless in their last six matches with three defeats on the bounce, while Sampdoria have been just as poor with three straight losses.
With both teams in familiar form and just one point separating them, a tight affair looks likely.
A lack of goals is the best betting option here for me with the Totals – Under 2.5 Goals – market offering 8/10.
Monday 26 November
Cagliari 37/20

Torino 31/20
Monday’s contest will see Cagliari play host to Torino. The Islanders, surprisingly, are unbeaten at home with three wins and two draws from five games.
However, their opponents are undefeated on their travels. Six of the last seven meetings between these sides have seen Torino come out on top, including four on the spin.
The away win is the way to go.
