GOLDEN THUNDER ran on to finish in the money in his last start over the same course and distance. Jockey Joseph See rides today and he should be able to find the number one box.
HOUSEHOLD DYNASTY stayed on nicely to run an impressive second in his last start, a repeat of that run should see him challenge the top selection again today.
ELITE BLAST was bumped at the start and was racing wide in his last start, if he doesn’t have any troubles today, he should be competitive.
PRINCE PEGASUS had excuses in his last start as he also had to race wide without cover, however, a repeat of his penultimate when winning should see him in the money.
RACE 2 (13:20) OPEN MAIDEN TURF TRACK 'C' (SC) 1200M
SELECTIONS – 1-3-2-13
IRONCLAD was impressive on debut when finishing second. He encountered traffic problems that day which made that run even more impressive. Apprentice Kok rides again today and if there are no issues he should be hard to beat.
CAVALLA COURT improved nicely in an open maiden last time and if repeating that run, he should be able to give the top selection something to think about.
COMING UP is another that improved in maiden company last time and he should finish in the money if bringing his form into this race.
LIM’S UNIQUE has done nothing wrong in his two starts to date and if bringing that form will be in the places again today.
RACE 3 (13:50) CLASS 5 (3) POLYTRACK 1200M
SELECTIONS- 5-6-1-4-2
ROAN RANGER’S last run should best be ignored as he was bumped at the start and raced wide without cover. His form before that has been impressive as he did not finish too far off the winners in each of those starts. If he repeats that form he should be in the winner’s enclosure today.
PLUCKY LAD has consistent form to his name and should be finishing right up there again today with jockey Wong in the saddle.
HELUSHKA was crowded on jumping last time and that cost him a repeat of his form prior to that should see him competitive and in the money.
FLYING YELLOW drops down to the six furlongs and should improve into the places.
RACE 4 (14:20) CLASS 4 TURF TRACK 'C' (SC) 2000M
SELECTIONS- 6-1-5-2-4
SHANGANI has been ultra-impressive in his last two starts when coming from off them to win. He steps up to the 10 furlongs but that shouldn’t be an issue as he has proven that he finishes off his races quite well. JP van der Merwe rides and that should make it easier to pull off the hat-trick.
MIGHTY KENNY didn’t finish too far off the winners in his last two starts. In his last start, he raced wide without cover and if he gets a bit of cover today, he should be right near the top selection in the run down to the line. The minor money can be fought out between many of them but,
MIDDLE KINGDOM and
MAJESTIC EMPRESS are the selections for third and fourth respectively.
RACE 5 (14:50) CLASS 5 (2) POLYTRACK 1200M
SELECTIONS – 2-6-7-8-9
KINGS LANDING improved in his last start over this course and distance and a repeat of that run should make him the one to beat this afternoon.
VESONTIO should enjoy the step up to the six-furlong trip today. He was disappointing over the five-furlong trip last time and that run should be ignored. JP van der Merwe rides and he should give the top selection something to think about.
GANGNAM CLASSIC has been consistent in the sprint trips and should be able to finish in the money again today.
TAVITO had excuses in his last start and should improve into the quartets today.
RACE 6 (15:20) CLASS 3 TURF TRACK 'C' (SC) 1200M
SELECTIONS – 8-1-6-2-3
PAX ANIMI was impressive when winning on debut over the same course and distance. A repeat of that run with Australian Patrick Maloney aboard should see him win again today.
MAGIC WAND has finished in third in his last two runs and if he brings that consistent form into this he can challenge the favourite in the run down to the line.
CALCULATION improved over this trip in his last start and a repeat of that run should see him in the money today.
NO FUN NO GAIN won his last two starts and it would be no surprise to see him get win again today, but he is the selection to close up the quartets.
RACE 7 (15:50) CLASS 5 POLYTRACK 1700M
SELECTIONS – 9-5-7-4-2
GINGERMAN finished fourth in his last start over this course and distance behind a nice sort which runs earlier on today. If he repeats that run, he should be able to get the better of this field.
GOLD FAITH improved in his penultimate over the course and distance and if he confirms that improvement, he should be challenging the top selection.
HOOGA NET won his last start over a mile so the step up in trip should be no problem and he should be competitive.
WHIZZY WALTZZY is in good form and should be considered in exotics.
RACE 8 (16:20) CLASS 4 POLYTRACK 1100M
SELECTIONS – 1-5-3-2-6
COUNTRY BOSS raced wide without cover in his last run and that cost him. A repeat of his penultimate run when winning should see him get the job done this afternoon.
MOONGATE STAR has been impressive in his two starts to date, jockey Ronald Woodworth rides and he should give another good account of himself.
BEJEWELLED was impressive in his last run when finishing third over this course and distance if he can repeat that effort he should be in the money again today.
LIM’S KNIGHT tries the trip she last finished fourth over. She must be considered for the places today.
