With so many ups and downs, coaches being sacked, all the unbeaten runs that have taken place, the records that have been broken, playing football through a global pandemic – it all ends on Sunday. The journey certainly has been a memorable one and with the race for top four and relegation still undecided, it promises to be a nail-biting end.
As for the champions, their hard work early on in the season paid off as Liverpool conclude their fantastic campaign with a trip to Newcastle. With so much still on the line, for one last time as we bid farewell, let’s hope to end what has been an illustrious season off with some cash.
Sunday 26 July
Southampton 13/10
Draw 24/10
Sheffield United 21/10
It’s been a stellar season for Ralph Hasenhuttl and Southampton. After a demolishing 9-0 defeat at home to Leicester City, the Saints turned their campaign around and now head into the final game on a six-game unbeaten run. They’ve also got one of the most feared attackers in the league at the moment in Danny Ings, who looks to add to his prolific record of 21 goals this season. Sheffield United set the league alight in the first three-quarters of the campaign but now find themselves out of the European spots and on a two-match losing streak going into the final day of the season.
With not much to play for and perhaps a bit of rotation expected, my money is on a draw.
Newcastle United 7/1
Draw 4/1
Liverpool 7/20
After an epic night at Anfield on Wednesday, lifting the trophy for the first time in 30 years, Liverpool’s season comes to an end at St. James’ Park. After they were crowned champions, complacency seemed to have kicked in a bit. Now, with a winner’s medal in their possession, the champions could kick their feet up and just treat this like a charity match where a host of the club’s youngsters could feature.
I would wait for team news before having a punt on this game, but if I have to stick my neck on the line, I’d back Jurgen Klopp’s men here at 7/20.
Manchester City 1/14
Draw 11/1
Norwich City 30/1
Norwich’s return to the top flight lasted just a season as they prepare for life in the Championship. The Canaries have had very little joy this season, in fact, one of their biggest results this campaign came against Manchester City, where they famously won 3-2. Pep Guardiola’s side are now on a four-game winning run, including two 5-0’s and one 4-0 victory. With Manchester City preparing for the UEFA Champions League, the club’s players will be eager to impress the coach with hope of making the starting line-up in their tie against Real Madrid next month.
My money is on Over 4.5 Goals at 5/4.
Leicester City 43/20
Draw 49/20
Manchester United 5/4

Everton 5/4
Draw 26/10
Bournemouth 2/1
There isn’t any hope of a top-half finish for Everton, but the players will be pushing to prove that they’re good enough to be in Carlo Ancelotti’s long-term plans as the Italian mentor looks to rebuild the club next season. The Toffees were incredibly good in their last outing, beating Sheffield United 1-0 at Bramall Lane. Bournemouth look to have the right spirit and energy as they look to survive the drop, just a lack of quality could bring them down to their knees.
The Cherries could spring up an upset on their day, and with so many twists and turns expected on the final day, who knows what could happen. I’m backing a draw here.
Crystal Palace 5/1
Draw 32/10
Tottenham 11/20
Crystal Palace end the season off with relegation form, coming into this game off the back of seven consecutive defeats. Luckily, the Eagles done their business early in ensuring survival and keeping them afloat for yet another season. Tottenham seem to be on the right track under Jose Mourinho with the club now enduring a five-game unbeaten run, winning four times, including notable victories over Arsenal and Leicester City.
Harry Kane and Heung-min Son have been in blistering form, and right now, you just can’t back against Spurs – get on at 11/20.
Chelsea 9/10
Draw 26/10
Wolves 3/1
In one of the biggest and most crucial games on Sunday, Chelsea host Wolves at Stamford Bridge hoping to avoid defeat, which will confirm Frank Lampard and his Chelsea team in next season’s UEFA Champions League. The Blues have played more football than most, beating Manchester United in the semi-final of the FA Cup last weekend, before losing 5-3 at Anfield with very little time between matches to prepare for the next fixture. Wolves have looked brilliant in recent matches and are three games unbeaten, claiming convincing wins over Everton and Crystal Palace. A fixture at Chelsea will always prove to be tricky, but Wolves went unbeaten away to Man City, Leicester City, Manchester United, Tottenham and Arsenal – and they certainly shouldn’t have lost to Liverpool.
I fancy a draw here at 26/10.
Burnley 13/10
Draw 24/10
Brighton 21/10
Burnley have been rewarded with their great season by earning a spot in the top half of the table, regardless of any result here. The Clarets have been excellent in all departments of the pitch, but most notably in defence, where Nick Pope sits level on top with Ederson for the league’s Golden Glove award with 15 clean sheets to his name. Brighton avoided being sucked into any relegation drama on the final day of the campaign with a draw at home to Newcastle last weekend. That stretched their winless run to four matches, but that will be meaningless for Graham Potter’s side who will just be happy to stay up.
The hosts are unbeaten in seven matches and should continue their fine form with a win.
Arsenal 19/20
Draw 28/10
Watford 26/10
With this being the penultimate game for Arsenal before their huge FA Cup final against Chelsea, Mikel Arteta’s side will want to go into the game at Wembley with their head held high, especially after suffering a 1-0 defeat at Aston Villa in midweek. For Watford, this is their cup final with the Hornets currently in the relegation zone, level on points with Villa, who are above them on goal difference. It was a strange decision by the board to sack Nigel Pearson with Hayden Mullins taking charge, losing his first game against Manchester City 4-0.
My money is on Arsenal at a generous price of 11/10.
West Ham 21/10
Draw 26/10
Aston Villa 5/4
West Ham secured arguably their most vital point of the campaign, drawing 1-1 at Manchester United. That meant that the Hammers were finally mathematically safe from relegation, even though it would have taken a miracle for the chasing clubs to overturn the goal difference deficit. David Moyes’ side have been written off so many times this season, especially in recent weeks where they’ve managed to beat Chelsea, Watford and get a draw at Manchester United. Aston Villa were superb in their last outing against Arsenal, and based on that, deserve to stay in the top flight for at least another season. Dean Smith’s side are unbeaten in three matches, beating Crystal Palace and Arsenal, while they managed to get a point at Everton in between those results.
Once again, a share of the spoils is my play here.
TREBLE TIPPED @ 10/1
Tottenham Win 11/20
Chelsea vs Wolves Draw 26/10
Arsenal Win 19/20
