Australia and India put on quite a show at the SCG as international cricket welcomed back fans with a high-scoring encounter.

The hosts had too much on the board in the end but India were in the contest for much of the game and the series is far from done.
Australia vs India | Sunday 29 November | Sydney Cricket Ground, Sydney | 05:40
To Win Match
Australia 52/100
Tie 25/1
India 31/20
Australia
Australia's early success was driven by centuries from Aaron Finch and Steve Smith while David Warner also made fifty suggesting India's bowlers could be in for a long tour.
The hosts got off to a dream start and from there took control of the match, as a result, they didn't find themselves under much pressure at any stage.
It remains to be seen if Australia can win when the big guns don't dominate, but the series opener was a positive result for Justin Langer's side.
The lineup fielded looked for all intents and purposes to be their best ODI XI with the uncapped players in the squad left in the dressing room.
Australia have shown their hand and will look to continue to dominate and stay on top of the tourists throughout the bumper bilateral series.
India
India's start to the chase was where things went wrong as they lost early wickets in stark contrast to Australia whose first two pairings made use of 40 of the 50 overs on offer.
There were positives for India such as Hardik Pandya's fighting 90 and the skill with the bat shown by seamer Navdeep Saini.
The new-ball pairing of Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami got their lengths wrong, and poor fielding cost India early wickets and the chance to get stuck into Australia's brittle middle-order.
India were given a tough lesson in taking their chances as Virat Kohli failed to make the most of being dropped, unlike Smith and Finch who both got let-offs during their hundreds.
Kohli's teams usually respond with improved performances when they are so comprehensively beaten, and he will be driving the team hard over the next few days to make sure it happens.
Verdict: Australia 52/100
The hosts are confident and playing good aggressive cricket and should have the measure of the Indians again.
