CORTADA wasn't himself when he had a moderate last showing after travelling to the Eastern Cape but the Vaughan Marshall inmate would have benefitted from the break and he can bounce back today. The well-related son of Var landed the betting coup with an impressive debut victory over this trip at Durbanville prior to that and he could still be worth following. He will be severely tested on his handicap debut with a big mass but may prove equal to the task.
