Ex-France international half-back Frederic Michalak will retire at the end of the season after 18 years as a professional rugby player.
The 35-year-old made his debut for Les Bleus in 2001 and went on to garner 77 caps, with the last of those coming in 2015.
Michalak, who is currently at Lyon, has played for Toulouse, Toulon and South African Super Rugby side the Sharks, but will now end his career in 2018.
"After a long period of reflection and despite an offer from a club, I am calling an end to my career at the end of this season,” he told Le 10 Sport.
"I still want to play but it will be the same situation if I push on for a year. It is not mental, it is the body which says to stop.
"You have to know when to stop. I am 35 and it is starting to become more and more difficult. I told myself this year is the right time to finish."
