Castres will be looking to bounce back from their European Rugby Champions Cup Pool phase exit when they host Racing Metro this coming weekend. The visitors will head to the Stade Pierre Fabre in a rather buoyant mood after they secured qualification to the next round of the Champions Cup with a hard-fought 20-23 away victory over the Leicester Tigers.

The Champions Cup certainly wasn't a fairytale chapter in Castres season with the French side bombing out of the tournament with a 48-3 away defeat to Munster. The result saw Castres miss out on qualification for the next round of the tournament by six points. As such, Castres will have to refocus their efforts, with only Top 14 glory to play for.
Castres have every chance of achieving Top 14 glory this year. They currently sit fourth on the top tier French standings and are only five points off league leaders Toulon. A couple wins over the coming weeks could well see them move into the home semi-final berths.
This weekend's hosts have played an attractive brand of rugby this year but it's often come back to bite them. They've conceded more than any other sides currently occupying a spot in the top 7 of the Top 14.
Racing Metro 92
The men from Paris have enjoyed a great past few months, moving up the Top 14 standings at a rate of knots and securing passage to the next round of the European Rugby Champions Cup. Not a bad turn around for a side who were languishing in the mid-table positions of the Top 14 less than three months ago.
The strangest thing about Racing's return to form is that they've been missing a plethora of their star players with Pat Lambie and Dan Carter sidelined for the most part of their team's revival. With both of these world-class talents ruled out, the fly-half jumper has been worn by Frenchman Rémi Tales.The veteran has excelled and is likely to be a key cog in the Racing machine again this coming weekend.
Verdict: Racing Metro 28/10
Their victory over Leicester last week was far from convincing, but Racing are certainly a team on the up. My money is on them to deliver on those words with a convincing win here.
