A complete top-order failure from the West Indies in Mumbai saw India assume the dominant position in the ODI series.
The West Indies outplayed India in the tied second ODI and again when they levelled the series in Pune, though, and will still retain hopes of winning the final match to share the trophy.

Rohit Sharma clearly demonstrated his value with another hefty ton from the very top of the order that put all the pressure on the West Indies. Sharma and opening partner Shikhar Dhawan are exceedingly dangerous players - and their threat is made so much greater by the batsmen who immediately follow them.
Virat Kohli has been the form batsman in all ODI cricket for some time now - and is on track to smash all the big batting records in the format. He has been well assisted by Ambati Rayudu, who hit his first ODI ton since being recalled to the team during the thumping 224-run win at the Brabourne Stadium.
India's pacemen did most of the damage in Mumbai and they did it up front. Bhuvneshwar Kumar and young left-arm seamer Khaleel Ahmed tore through the West Indies middle-order - and made the chase impossible for the tourists. The seamers made sure the pressure wasn't on the spinners when they came on - and left-arm wrist-spinner Kuldeep Yadav blew through the tail in quick time.
The West Indies showed that the key to beating India is to find ways to attack their spinners through the middle overs. For the hosts this means that their quick bowlers have a job to do to ensure that the pressure is kept on the batting side.

The run-out of Shai Hope in the fourth ODI left the West Indies batting spineless and underlined their reliance on the star wicketkeeper-batsman. The bully of the India bowlers this series, Shimron Hetmyer also faltered but the pair cannot be expected to carry the effort each outing.
Senior batsman Marlon Samuels has not contributed the kind of runs expected from a top-four batsman, aggregating just 40 runs in four innings. His performances with the willow have been mitigated by some handy bowling, but he needs runs to ensure the selectors keep faith in him.
Skipper Jason Holder is now a fully-fledged international all-rounder, contributing with bat and ball - and his 54 not out was perhaps the only bright spot for the West Indies in Mumbai.
Spinner Ashley Nurse and opening bowler Kemar Roach should be among the first names on the team list but the remaining two positions in the bowling attack will require some discussion. Veteran spinner Devendra Bishoo has been out of sorts, while Fabian Allen has made little impression - and Obed McCoy has been patchy. Among the pacemen, both Keemo Paul and Oshane Thomas have been loose.
Verdict: India 2/15
India have the momentum and are the more consistent of the two teams but the contest could be a lot closer than the fourth ODI.
