The headline race of the year is on our doorstep with the world's best drivers set to square off in the Principality of Monaco on Sunday the 26th of May.
It's off to the glitz and glamour of Monaco this weekend for the year's most anticipated Grand Prix. The race has helped launch the career of many a young driver, and with a host of rookies set to line up on the grid this weekend, we could well witness the berth of a new superstar.

Previous Race
The Circuit de Catalunya was the stage for yet another Mercedes one-two finish with Lewis Hamilton claiming his third win of the season and Valtteri Bottas bringing his car home in second. The result has seen the Silver Arrows team take a mammoth 94 point lead at the top of the Constructors' standings.
The podium places in Spain were rounded out by the Red Bull of Max Verstappen, who was followed across the line by the Ferraris of Sebastian Vettel (Fourth) and Charles LeClerc (Fifth). Spain actually proved a rather profitable race for Red Bull as Pierre Gasly finished in sixth place.
The remainder of the top ten featured a number of seasoned veterans with Kevin Magnussen taking seventh, Carlos Sainz claiming eighth, Danil Kvyat coming across the line in ninth and Romain Grosjean taking 10th.
Track
We all know how tight this track is. And while for some petrol heads that’s a bit of a turnoff, I’m the complete opposite. Yes, we won’t see as many overtakes as we would in Italy or in Canada, but the overtakes we will see will be full of unadulterated daring and guile. We're also likely to see a couple of crashes, as this track punishes any momentary lapse in concentration.
So which of the 19 turns will provide drivers with an opportunity to get a jump on the man in front of them? Well, they could try the Fairmont Hotel hairpin, which is the tightest hairpin turn on the Formula 1 calendar, but that would more than likely end in retirement for them and their victim. The easier options would be Saint Devote - the first turn on the track - or just after the tunnel into Nouvelle – it’s a tricky move to pull off and requires you to outbreak your opponent in the Nouvelle corner.
In terms of weather conditions, it looks like we'll see partly cloudy conditions for the majority of the race weekend. There is no real threat of rain at this point, however. *Article was written on Tuesday 21st May.
Last year's race was won by Daniel Ricciardo while Sebastian Vettel claimed second and Lewis Hamilton rounded out the podium.
Value Bet
Daniel Ricciardo - Podium Finish - Yes @25/1
Okay so Ricciardo is having a stinker of a season behind the wheel of his Renault but 25/1 is simply to big a price not to throw a very small amount of money on.
The Australian has a marvellous record at the track having won last year's event - behind the wheel of a Red Bull, albeit - as well as finishing on the podium in 2017 and 2014.
While my stake will be minimal, I won't be too surprised if Ricciardo takes a spot on the podium.
To Win Race Outright - Lewis Hamilton @9/10
There may not be much value on this one but Hamilton looks the likeliest to claim victory in Monaco. The 'Brit is in solid touch this term having won three of this year's five races.
He also has a decent if not spectacular record out in the French Principality having won there in 2016.
And while I do think he may face a challenge from one of Pierre Gasly, Max Verstappen or Charles LeClerc, I can still see him taking top honours.
