50/1 for Sergio Garcia always rings great value to me. Especially when you take into consideration that Garcia has six wins over the course of the last three years. It has been a quiet month for the Spaniard leading up to this season-ending showcase. But lest we forget he finished in a tie for 7th four starts back in Spain. A week prior to that he actually tasted victory at the KLM Open. He had a bad Asian swing but enters an event in which he has metronomic returns. In eight starts the worst finish he has mustered at the Earth Course is a 21st place finish. He has back-to-back top 10’s here leading into this event.
The Man to Beat
Patrick Reed

Of all the guys in the upper echelons of the betting stakes, Reed strikes me as perhaps the best value this week. The 2017 Masters Champion will be feeling energized by his recent selection onto the President’s Cup team. Reed has three top 10’s in his last four starts. That included a tie for 10th last time out in Turkey. That is almost a misleading finish when you consider that six men participated in that playoff. Reed also has excellent course form, with top 10 finishes in all of his appearances here. For all the accusations levelled at Reed for being a typical boorish American, he has shown huge respect for the European Tour and continues to ply his trade on the continent.
