That’s that, then. The final international break of 2019 came to an end as we approach the daunting festive period in the Premier League, where things tend to take shape around this time of the season. Check out round 13 of the English Premier League below.

Before the break, Liverpool moved nine points clear of Manchester City after beating the champions 3-1 at Anfield. Their lead, however, is eight points after Leicester City and Chelsea kept up the pressure and moved above City into second and third spot respectively. There was plenty of movement at the bottom end of the table as well, and this week, more teams will be climbing up and down the ladder.
Saturday 23 November
West Ham 32/10
Draw 3/1
Tottenham 15/20
The Premier League returns with an enticing London derby between West Ham and Tottenham. Both teams have had their struggles this term with West Ham sitting in 16th place in the standings after a run of six league games without a victory, while Spurs share similar form, failing to win in five matches and find themselves sitting in 14th spot.
Believe it or not, but the latest reports suggest that this is a make-or-break tie for both managers who could get the boot should their team lose this weekend. Tottenham haven’t won away from home in the league since January.
The draw seems likely here at 3/1.
Crystal Palace 11/2
Draw 34/10
Liverpool 5/10
Champions-elect and runaway leaders, Liverpool, will have a score to settle against Crystal Palace and prove to the world that this is not the season of failure when they look to put their demons of yesteryear behind them. In 2014, the Reds bottled the league in a notorious encounter at Selhurst Park where they let a three-goal lead slip.
Victory here and all is forgotten. Liverpool will be on their way to claiming their first-ever Premier League title. Jurgen Klopp’s men have won all but one game this season, which came at Old Trafford, settling for a 1-1 draw against Manchester United.
Back Liverpool here and include in all multiples.
Arsenal 5/10
Draw 36/10
Southampton 5/1
After the board showed faith in Unai Emery to opt against sacking him during the international break, its time for the three-time UEFA Europa League winner to prove why he really is the right man for the job and get the fans back on his side as well. The Gunners are winless in four league matches after losing to top-four rivals, Leicester City, before the FIFA break.
Southampton are placed 19th on the log after a winless run of seven games, losing six of those ties. Like Emery, Ralph Hasenhuttl is also in hot water with the Southampton board with bookmakers making him the favourite to be the next manager in the league to be sacked.
Take the home win.
Brighton 26/10
Draw 51/20
Leicester City 21/20
The new chapter in Leicester City’s fairy-tale could be just as exciting as the first chapter. Winning the league seems a bit far-fetched this season, but they’ve shown no signs of slowing down in their pursuit as the Foxes look to regain their spot in the UEFA Champions League. Brendan Rodgers’ men sit second in the standings, level on points with Chelsea and one point above the champions, Manchester City.
Brighton have been impressive at the Amex Stadium this season, though, winning their last three home matches, beating Tottenham (3-0), Everton (3-2) and Norwich (2-0).
This will certainly be an entertaining watch, but from a betting perspective, I would suggest being bold and backing the hosts on the Win/Draw Double Chance at 15/20.
Everton 4/10
Draw 39/10
Norwich City 6/1
Everton’s two-match winless run in the Premier League came to an end before the international break as the Toffees claimed a 2-1 victory at Southampton. The hosts have shown signs of what they’re capable of in recent weeks, but just don’t have the results to back up their stellar performances.
Norwich have the worst record on the road in the division, failing to win a game thus far, earning one point in six matches, scoring just once.
Everton on the (-1) Handicap looks a solid bet at even money.
Bournemouth 7/4
Draw 23/10
Wolves 16/10
The Vitality Stadium hosts quite a big one this weekend as Wolves come to town in what proves to be one of the hardest fixtures to call. Bournemouth have won just one of their last six ties, albeit against an in-form Manchester United team at the time.
Wolves look to be on the rise again, enduring a seven-game unbeaten run in the Premier League. Their last away win came in a massive triumph over Manchester City where Wolves claimed a 2-0 victory at the Etihad.
The Away Win/Draw Double Chance looks to be the best bet here at 4/10.
Watford 13/10
Draw 23/10
Burnley 9/4
Watford finally moved off the foot of the table after their first win of the campaign, cruising past Norwich, winning 2-0 at Carrow Road. Now, the Hornets just need their first victory at Vicarage Road to kick on from their dismal start.
Burnley also ended a winless run of their own, claiming a commanding 3-0 victory over West Ham after losing three consecutive games. The Clarets may be in the top half of the table, but they’re still yet to win on the road this term.
I’m backing Watford to make it back to back wins at 13/10.
Manchester City 9/20
Draw 39/10
Chelsea 47/10
Four of the last five Premier League titles have been won by these two clubs, although Chelsea are not quite the English powerhouse they once were.
In this fixture, last season, Pep Guardiola's side handed the Londoners their biggest-ever Premier League defeat with a 6-0 result, which saw Sergio Aguero score a hat-trick.
This season, however, the Blues are showing signs of becoming a force to be reckoned with, and Guardiola will need to be wary of Frank Lampard's vibrant young side who have won their last six league games.

Sunday 24 November
Sheffield United 5/2
Draw 9/4
Manchester United 12/10
Sunday’s only encounter sees Manchester United travel to Bramall Lane to face an in-form Sheffield United side. The hosts have set the league alight since their return from the Championship, riding the crest of the wave in fifth place. United, despite their indifferent form, sit just one point behind the Blades and could move up to fifth should they better Arsenal’s result.
The Red Devils have won just one of their six matches on the road this season, while Sheffield won back-to-back home games against Arsenal and Burnley, keeping clean sheets in both ties. Although, star shot-stopper Dean Henderson will be unable to play against his parent club on Sunday.
I’m putting my money on a share of the spoils at 9/4.
Monday 25 November
Aston Villa 11/10
Draw 49/20
Newcastle United 51/20
Premier League action concludes under the lights on Monday night at Villa Park where Aston Villa host Newcastle United with both teams looking to get closer to the top half of the table. After a superb start, Villa find themselves one place above the relegation zone after a run of three consecutive defeats.
Newcastle, on the other hand, will be looking for three successive victories after beating West Ham and Bournemouth before the break. Aston Villa have struggled for goals on their home turf while Newcastle have also been goal-shy on the road. This time, though, I’m going against the odds and backing a goal fest.
My money is on Over 3.5 Goals at 2/1.
QUAD TIPPED @ 8/1
Liverpool Win 4/10
Arsenal Win 5/10
Everton (-1) Handicap 1/1
Watford Win 5/4
