Our soccer analysts previews the English Premier League week 35 action which kicks off on Saturday 11 July 2020.

The Premier League is starting to take shape in the final few weeks of action with some of the big guns making a late push to finish as high as possible, while the misery never ends for the minnows down at the bottom. Manchester United look like the team to beat in the closing stages of the campaign and are breathing heavily on the necks of Leicester City and Chelsea, who occupy the UEFA Champions League places alongside Liverpool and Manchester City, who could be banned from the competition for two years. Watford’s win in midweek came as a massive boost as they now sit two points clear of the drop zone, leaving Bournemouth, Aston Villa and Norwich behind.
Saturday 11 July
Norwich City 26/10

West Ham 1/1
Saturday kicks off with a massive six-pointer in the race for survival. Norwich could be relegated this weekend, but in all fairness, it was more of an inevitability than a possibility for some time now. The Canaries can’t even buy a win, they’ve lost six matches in a row and have scored just once in that run. With survival still to play for, West Ham should be more than up for the fight. Back the Hammers at even money.
Watford 8/10

Newcastle United 36/10
Watford have the chance of making it back-to-back wins which will kick-start their hopes for survival and give themselves some breathing spaces from the bottom three. The Hornets claimed a 2-1 win over Norwich with Danny Welbeck netting a sublime overhead kick to give the hosts maximum points.
Before their tie against Manchester City, Newcastle United were free-scoring and rested a few of their key players in that midweek tie against the former champions, so we could see the Magpies at their best here. My money is on Both Teams to Score at 9/10.
Liverpool 1/4

Burnley 19/2
Liverpool return to Anfield for the second time as champions when they host red-hot Burnley this Saturday. Jurgen Klopp has opted to do the sensible thing and prepare for next season, giving a few of the fringe players a run in the first team, while a few youngsters are pushing for a start as well.
Burnley are on a four-game unbeaten run, winning three times in that run, drawing only to Sheffield United. With Chris Wood back and Liverpool likely to rest players, the Clarets should get on the scoresheet here. Take the Reds to Win & Both Teams to Score at 31/20.
Sheffield United 5/1

Chelsea 6/10
The race for a place in one of the UEFA competitions look set to take another thrilling twist as Sheffield United host Chelsea at Bramall Lane. The Blades could move above Wolves into sixth spot with a win here, while Frank Lampard will be hoping his Blues can stretch further ahead in third spot, knowing that Leicester City and Manchester United still have to play each other this season.
In recent weeks, Sheffield United look back to being the team we’ve known them to be this season, while Chelsea have looked deadly in attack, but shaky in defence. We could be in for yet another thrilling goal treat between these two sides after they cancelled each other out in a 2-2 stalemate at Stamford Bridge this season. At 19/20, Both Teams to Score looks too good to pass up.
Brighton 8/1

Manchester City 3/10
After facing a tricky test against Liverpool, the fixtures are coming thick and fast for Brighton with a tie against Manchester City up next. Graham Potter has done a remarkable job with the Seagulls, distancing them from any relegation talk during the run-in, while he has brought in football that is completely different to what previous managers have brought to the club, but proved to be just as successful – if not more. It’s still going to be tough for Brighton, especially after witnessing what Man City done to Newcastle in midweek, winning 5-0.
City to Win & Both Teams to Score looks the way to go at 31/20.
Sunday 12 July

Everton 29/10
After a rocky patch, losing back to back games in the league, Wolves return to the Molineux where they will certainly fancy their chances against Everton, who have looked flat and boring in recent matches. The Toffees have got the quality, but they look like a 2005 team, with their 4-4-2 formation and inability to adjust to modern times under Carlo Ancelotti. On home soil, Wolves have still been very impressive and I expect them to return to winning ways here.
Aston Villa 13/10

Crystal Palace 22/10
Just like Norwich, Aston Villa look down for the count. We expect more from them in each game and they continue to disappoint. They’re wrongly priced up as favourites and I can’t see them beating Crystal Palace. Against Chelsea, the Eagles showed plenty of fight in their defeat and gave the Blues a late scare which could have gone in their favour with a bit of luck. Palace, with the likes of Wilfried Zaha and Jordan Ayew, should trounce Villa – get on at 22/10.

Leicester City 7/10
Bournemouth moved one place up in the table with their goalless draw against Tottenham on Thursday, but it wasn’t enough to take them out of the relegation zone. The Cherries ended their five-game losing streak and will be hoping to derail Leicester City in their pursuit for top four. The Foxes stole a point at Arsenal last time out after the Gunners were reduced to 10 men. Prior to the red card, Leicester just didn’t look up for the game. I’m putting my money on Both Teams to Score at 8/10.

Southampton 17/2
Can any team stop this Manchester United right now? Probably, but not Southampton. The Red Devils have looked unbeatable in recent months, with Bruno Fernandes, Mason Greenwood and Paul Pogba finding form at the right time of the campaign. They set a league record last time out, becoming the first club to win four games in a row by a three-goal margin. At 17/20, United look full value on the (-1) Handicap, the perfect way to end the gameweek on Monday night.
