Bayern Munich regained their position at the summit of the standings after claiming maximum points in Cologne as RB Leipzig suffered their first loss of the campaign to fellow UEFA Champions League competitors Borussia Monchengladbach.

Borussia Dortmund are hot on the heels of the Bavarians and sit equal on 15 points each going into Saturday’s humdinger between the strongest teams in Bundesliga.
Friday 6 November
Werder Bremen 13/10
Draw 49/20
Cologne 2/1
Werder Bremen have been quietly tallying points and avoided defeat for the fifth straight week. The Green-Whites beat Schalke and Arminia Bielefeld, who are expected to be among the teams fighting relegation and come into the clash with three 1-1 draws against the likes of Freiburg, Hoffenheim and Eintracht Frankfurt. Cologne, on the other hand, are yet to pick up a victory with two draws and four defeats from their first six matches. The last time Billy Goats won on their travels was eight months ago against Paderborn who are currently in 2. Bundesliga. The hosts thrashed Cologne 6-1 in the last meeting, put your money on the home win at 13/10.
Saturday 7 November
Augsburg 37/20
Draw 49/20
Hertha Berlin 14/10
Augsburg got back to winning ways after back-to-back defeats to RB Leipzig and Bayer Leverkusen. The hosts beat struggling Mainz 3-1 last weekend thanks to an Andre Hahn brace that secured the points 10 minutes from the final whistle. Hertha Berlin are struggling to compete with the quality of the league. Bruno Labbadia’s troops make the trip from the capital winless in five matches. The visitors lost four straight games before sharing the spoils in a 1-1 draw against Wolsburg last time out. Previous meetings between these sides suggest goals is the way to go, Over 2.5 Goals is a great bet at 7/10.
RB Leipzig 7/20
Draw 17/4
Freiburg 7/1
RB Leipzig will be happy to return to home soil after losing 5-0 to Man United at Old Trafford and 1-0 against Monchengladbach at Borussia Park. Despite Julian Nagelsmann’s team hosting PSG in midweek UEFA Champions League action, they are still priced as strong favourites. Freiburg haven’t looked good since their opening day victory over Stuttgart. The Breisgau Brazilians have gone winless in five games with three draws and suffered defeats to Borussia Dortmund and Bayer Leverkusen. Both Teams to Score (Yes) offers more value at 8/10 rather than the home win which is expected to be a banker.
Union Berlin 9/10
Draw 51/20
Arminia Bielefeld 29/10
Union Berlin extended their unbeaten streak to five matches with a 3-1 win away at Hoffenheim. The three draws and two victories have involved just one clean sheet as both teams scored in the other four games in this period. There are worrying signs that Arminia Bielefeld may return the 2. Bundesliga sooner than they would like. The Blues have lost four games on the bounce and have only scored four goals in six matches. My money is on the Iron Ones to claim maximum points on home soil at 9/10.
Stuttgart 31/20
Draw 26/10
Eintracht Frankfurt 31/20
Newly-promoted Stuttgart will come into this game with the belief of claiming precious points. The Reds are unbeaten in five matches with two wins and three draws. Eintracht Frankfurt would have the exact record if they hadn’t faced Bayern Munich and received their mandatory 5-0 thrashing, but you could draw a line against the fixture with the impeccable champions. Both Teams to Score is a banker at 4/10, however, I expect the visiting Eagles to edge this encounter at 31/20.
Mainz 12/10
Draw 49/20
Schalke 22/10
This clash will be a huge six-pointer at this early stage with both sides rooted to the bottom of the log and yet to pick up a win. Mainz have lost six games in a row, shipping 18 goals in the process, however, the visitors Schalke have the leakiest defence having conceded 20 times in just six matches. Schalke’s only points come in the form of draws against Stuttgart and Union Berlin either side of a 3-0 defeat to Borussia Dortmund in October. On their travels, Schalke haven’t won in 14 Bundesliga ties but I’m backing the Royal Blues to break their duck in my value bet of the weekend at 22/10.
Borussia Dortmund 29/10
Draw 32/10
Bayern Munich 15/20
Borussia Dortmund were without wonderkid Erling Halaand for the 2-0 win at Arminia Bielefeld but he is expected to be available for this high-stakes encounter. Veteran defender Mats Hummels scored both goals last time out and is enjoying a rich vein of goal-scoring form having also netted against Schalke the previous week. Hummels will definitely be up for this clash against his former employers, but personally, I rate his centre-back partner Manuel Akanji right up there with the best defenders around at the moment. A scary statistic is Bayern Munich have won 36 of their last 38 games played across all competitions, at the time of writing. The Bavarians have won four of the last five meetings against the Yellow and Blacks which doesn’t bode well for Halaand and company. Both Halves Over 1.5 Goals at 2/1 offers great value if you’ve not already jumped on Both Teams to Score or Totals: Over 2.5 Goals which should be considered a banker at 7/20.
Sunday 8 November
Wolfsburg 11/10
Draw 26/10
Hoffenheim 9/4
Wolfsburg are one of the two unbeaten teams in the division but manager Oliver Glasner will be hoping the Wolves can turn their draws into victories. The hosts have won once and drew five times from their opening six matches. Hoffenheim shocked Bayern Munich 4-1 at the end of September but their league form has been woeful, going winless in four matches with three defeats and a draw against struggling Werder Bremen. The visitors can’t seem to cope with competing on both fronts as they also have UEFA Europa League commitments on Thursday nights. Both Teams to Score (Yes) at 11/20 is a solid bet instead of trying to pick a winner.
Bayer Leverkusen 5/4
Draw 5/2
Monchengladbach 2/1
Bayer Leverkusen are the other unbeaten team in Bundesliga. Die Werkself seemed to have settled well after three straight draws. Peter Bosz got his team back to winning ways with three consecutive wins against Mainz, Augsburg, and Freiburg coming into the clash. The hosts will be eager to exact revenge on this opponent after their late dip in form saw Monchengladbach take their UEFA Champions League spot last season. The visitors will return from Ukraine after their midweek clash at Shakhtar Donetsk for this encounter. The Foals have won their last two trips to this venue; however, these sides are tipped to cancel out each other at 5/2.
DOUBLE TIPPED @ 86/10
Schalke Win 22/10
Borussia Dortmund vs Bayern Munich Both Halves Over 1.5 Goals 2/1
