We've got yet another shortened PRO14 fixtures list to mull over this week as the scheduled Dragons versus Edinburgh fixture has been called off due to an outbreak of COVID cases in the Dragons camp.
There are some cracking fixtures in store, however, with the heading clash seeing Conference leaders Leinster taking of second-placed Conference B sides, the Cardiff Blues, at the RDS this coming Sunday.
Ospreys v Treviso
Sunday 22 November
Liberty Stadium
15:45
To Win (80 Mins)
Ospreys 4/10
Draw 20/1
Treviso 39/20
We kick things off over in Wales where the Ospreys will tackle winless Treviso. The hosts head into this one off the back of a 38-22 defeat to Munster. This was their third loss on the trot with their previous two defeats coming at the hands of Leinster (7-26) and Zebre (23-17).
Treviso fared rather poorly in Round 6 as well going down 22-5 to the Cardiff Blues. This was their fourth straight loss of the campaign and followed a 3-10 home defeat to the Scarlets.
Verdict: Ospreys
I'm all over the hosts here. While Treviso have proved to be a dogged side, they are extremely poor travellers. I can see them struggling in Wales this weekend.
Zebre v Connacht
Sunday 22 November
Stadio Sergio Lanfranchi
16:30
To Win (80 Mins)
Zebre 29/20
Draw 20/1
Connacht 1/4
The Italian theme will continue this Sundya with Treviso's domestic rivals, Zebre, taking on Irish side Connacht at the Stadio Sergio Lanfranchi.
Zebre head into this one off the back of a massive reality check as they were hammered 14-57 by Ulster midweek. They had produced some good results prior to that heavy defeat going down by just one point to the Scarlets in Wales after beating the Ospreys 23-17 in Wales.
Connacnht also had a tough time of it last weekend going down by six points to the Scarlets in Ireland. This was the Irish side's second loss in their past three games as they went down 29-7 to the Cardiff Blues a couple of weeks back.
Verdict: Zebre
The Italians have proved a tough nut to crack on home soil this term and I have a strange feeling they'll cause an upset here.
Leinster v Cardiff Blues
Sunday 22 November
RDS Arena
19:15
To Win (80 Mins)
Leinster 1/100
Draw 40/1
Blues 12/1
Leinster will be looking to extend their long-running PRO14 unbeaten record when they take on the Cardiff Blues on Sunday.
The Irish province racked up yet another win this week as they smashed Edinburgh 50-10. They have now scored an incredible 243 points in six rounds while only conceding 74 points.
The Cardiff Blues also fared rather well beating Treviso 22-5. This was just the tonic for the Blues who had lost to Edinburgh (18-0) and Ulster (7-11) in their previous two games.
Verdict: Leinster
I can only see one thing here and that's a big win for the home side.
Ulster v Scarlets
Sunday 22 November
Kingspan Stadium
21:35
To Win (80 Mins)
Ulster 1/10
Draw 30/1
Scarlets 57/10
The penultimate game of Round 7 will see Irish side Ulster take on Welsh side, the Scarlets. The hosts head into this one off the back of an eye-catching display as they ran up a cricket score against Zebre midweek.
The Scarlets also fared rather well in Round 6 beating Ulster's rivals Connacht by six-points in Ireland. this was the Scarlets second win on the trot having scapred to a one-point victory over Zebre a week prior.
Ulster have won four of the last five games between the sides with their latest victory coming in November 2019 when they beat the Scarlets 29-5.
Verdict: Ulster
I think Ulster are set to run up another big score here. They are in great touch and I can't see a hit and miss Scarlets side competing with them.
Glasgow Warriors v Munster
Monday 23 November
Scotstoun Stadium
22:15
To Win (80 Mins)
Glasgow
Draw
Munster
We'll close out the round out at the Scotstoun Stadium where the Glasgow Warriors will play host to a Munster team in red-hot form. The hosts currently sit fourth on the Conference A standings while Munster top the pops in Conference A and are yet to lose a game this season while the Cardiff Blues have won three of their six fixtures.
The hosts head into this one off the back of their third successive defeat as they went down 40-15 to Ulster a fortnight back. They did have their game against the Dragons called off last week so they've had an extra week to prepare for this one.
While Glasgow had their game called off, Munster were putting in a solid shift beating the Ospreys 38-22.
Verdict: Munster
The Warriors are really struggling at the minute and I cannot see them getting any change out of a solid Munster side.
