The three-year-old JEWEL QUEST is unbeaten from two efforts on this track and she does seem a quality sort in the making. She handles her racing very well and wasn't disgraced on the Highveld last time out. Incidentally, the daughter of Argonaut was having her third start inside ten days when weakening into 4th in that latest start in Gauteng. She deserved the eight-week break and would have strengthened. This is the Corne' Spies inmate's acid test but she is way above-average and could still come out on top despite conceding weight to many older rivals.
