The grey daughter of Tapit picked up a five-pound penalty for her troubles but the headgear has made an instant impact and she could still have plenty more to offer. The mile won't be an issue as her top jockey Anton Marcus won't allow her to be too far out of her ground.

The former Gauteng resident NEWS FILTER has taken well to this surface since arriving in the province. Her change of tactics without blinkers has served her well and the daughter of Captain Al finished eye-catchingly in her last two starts on this course. The formline of her last effort was boosted when the 3rd placed finisher Pearl Emblem won a gutsy contest next time out. Her yard had an overdue winner recently and this four-year-old filly could stake a serious claim with top jockey Delpech engaged. She was surprisingly docked two pounds in her rating and can take full advantage of that.

Furthermore, she is well drawn at gate 4 and could represent decent each/way value on her peak run.
