ROYAL CHIAN had a satisfactory first experience on this tight circuit when she stayed on for 3rd behind Live Life, three weeks ago. She has just under half a length to find on the three-year old runner-up
HARAKIRI on that performance and she is 1.5kgs better off at the weights. The Marshall inmate should be better suited to this track today and she can reverse the form from her good draw. The latter has much more scope for improvement but she once again jumps from an awkward draw and will be severely tested.

That first experience is sure to have brought him on and Greg Cheyne's ride should relish today's extra furlong. He is once again drawn well.

However, he showed good improvement after finding outside betting support over nine furlongs subsequently. The son of Muhtafal moved up well before tiring in the sticky conditions but he was just a neck adrift of today's likely favourite
ROYAL GINGER whom he meets on 4.5kgs better terms. It is worth noting that the runner-up of that event Cuduiari won his next start beating the latter narrowly. This inmate who represents the Burger/Van Reenen combination has his peak showing and he clearly has scope for further progress. Interestingly, he will be partnered by the same 2.5kgs claiming apprentice who was aboard the latter on quite a few occasions.
