SHOOT THE BULL comfortably in the maidens over this c & d in June and then produced the best effort of his short career on his handicap debut, four weeks later. The well-related son of Var was pipped with a big mass on the polytrack that day but he escaped with just a solitary pound penalty. He would have strengthened during his eleven week absence and has lots more to offer. Interestingly, the latter now faces the younger rival on a whopping 8kgs better weight terms for that length and a half beating. Admittedly though, the latter is limited and could still have his work cut-out for him to reverse the form.

SEATOPS produced a high class triumphant debut against winners in a feature over six furlongs at this circuit, four weeks ago. The daughter of Mambo In Seattle found longshot betting support and she got up late to emerge victorious in the blanket finish. She would have come on appreciably from that first experience and today's extra furlong will suit the bay filly. She seems destined for a bright future and must be followed with confidence.

The Mark Dixon inmate will be fitter and he represents decent each/way value.
