Scotland will be looking to bounce back from their Round 2 home defeat to the Irish when they travel to Paris to take on win-less France on Saturday the 23rd of February.
Round 3 of the 2019 Guinness Six Nations gets underway with a clash between a dire French side and a hit and miss Scottish outfit. The visitors have played in patches this term but are yet to deliver a full 80-minute performance, while the hosts have once again shown a penchant for imploding at the most inopportune of times.

The one-week Six Nations break couldn't have come at a better time for the French, who were trounced 44-8 by the English in Round 2. While the players who took to Twickenham on that regrettable day in French history put in insipid displays, the coaching staff surely need to shoulder the majority of the burden for that defeat, with Jaques Brunnell's decision to field two centres on the wings causing his sides all sorts of unnecessary problems.
There were some rays of sunlight for the French on a rather dark day out in England's capital, with young guns such as Emile Ntamack producing solid displays off the bench. With the French now out of the running for the title with that heavy defeat to England and their opening day 19-24 loss to Wales eclipsing their hopes, perhaps it's time for the Jaques Brunnel and his coaching team to throw caution to the wind and give youngsters such as Ntamack a start?

Gregor Townend's boys will be looking to keep their slim hopes of claiming the Six Nations title alive by registering a bonus point victory over the French. The visitors for this weekend have been rather enigmatic this term, producing some scintillating rugby for large periods of a game before switching off allowing opposition sides to take control of proceedings.
This was evident in both their opening round fixture against the Italians and in their Round 2 clash against the Irish. In the former, the 'Scots allowed the minnows to score three tries in the final seven minutes of the game. The latter fixture saw the 'Scots, who were very much in the game at half-time - they trailed 10-12 at the break and had dominated the latter part of the second-half - implode in the second stanza allowing the Irish to run out 13-22 victors.
Verdict: Scotland *Forecast handicap
The 'Scots will be kicking themselves after failing to capitalize on a number of chances against the Irish in Round 2. I'm expecting a far more clinical performance from this talented bunch of men in blue. While I wouldn't at all be surprised to see them claim a victory here, I'm going to go the safe route and back them on the plus.
