The Serie A returns this weekend with Juventus still occupying top spot. Some things never change but Inter Milan are hot on their heels and will look to keep the pressure on the Old Lady.
Napoli seem to be having one of those seasons to forget, while Roma, Lazio and Atalanta continue their battle for the Champions League places. Cagliari have stepped into the picture as a surprise contender for European football and are certainly causing the so-called giants of Italy a problem or two. Let’s find out what’s in-store for round 12.

After 10 matches, Sassuolo seem to be struggling to find a winning formula with just three wins from 10 matches. Bologna have been dismal in recent weeks with three defeats from their last four matches.
However, the Rossoblu have shown some good fighting spirit over the last few weeks and look the stronger team coming into this contest.
Back Bologna to come away with a narrow win at 31/20.

Brescia are placed second from bottom on the standings with seven losses from 10 matches, including three defeats in a row. Torino are nowhere near as good as the team as we know them to be. They are currently without a win in their last six matches with four losses.
Both teams seem to be battling to find the back of the net which ultimately leads to a low-scoring affair.
The Totals – Under 2.5 Goals – market is tipped at 17/20.
Inter Milan 7/20 | Draw 4/1 | Hellas Verona 17/2
Inter Milan have been impressive with nine wins from 11 matches and will be looking to leapfrog Juventus to the top of the standings – at least for the time being. Hellas Verona have been impressive of late with two wins on the bounce but the Nerazzurri are a different beast.
Hellas Verona will look to play on the counter at every chance they get as most of the game they are likely to be defending.
However, I feel they will at least stay solid for the first half. Get on the 1st Half Totals – Under 1.5 Goals – at 6/10.

Genoa 13/2
Napoli are without a win in their last three matches, including a hard-fought 2-1 defeat at Roma last time out. Genoa are boarding the relegation zone on goal-difference. They have lost five of their last six matches and that doesn’t look likely to improve here.
The Azzurri have won four of the last five meetings against Genoa and are tipped to build on that.

Fiorentina 27/20
Sunday’s lunch-time kick-off is interesting and more so exciting to say the least. Cagliari are unbeaten in their last 10 matches in all competitions and look to be gunning for a place in the top six.
Fiorentina have been inconsistent in recent weeks and frankly don’t deserve to be favourites going into this clash with the poor football they have been playing. The hosts won this tie 2-1 last season and that should add motivation to keep pushing.
Cagliari are tipped to edge the win at a valuable 39/20.
Sampdoria 26/10

Atalanta 19/20
Sampdoria ended a winless run of six matches last weekend with a hard-fought 1-0 victory away to basement-dwellers SPAL. Atalanta might be the league’s top scorers with 30 goals but their poor defending has been a downfall this season.
Sampdoria’s victory last weekend would have boosted team-morale so expect them to come out with a bit of fight to them.

Lazio have been superb in recent weeks with three wins on the spin, scoring eight goals and conceding just once. Lecce are without a victory six matches and that including two defeats and four stalemates on the bounce.
Lazio remain unbeaten at home and will look to maintain that record.
The hosts are tipped on the Half-time/Full-time win at 13/20.

Udinese bounced back to winning ways following back-to-back defeats with an impressive 3-1 victory away to Genoa. SPAL are rooted to the foot of the table with eight losses from 11 games, scoring seven goals and conceding seven goals and conceding 18 times.
The basement-dwellers are struggling to score goals. If Udinese can take control of the game in the opening stages, they should bag all three points.
The home win is a solid bet and will be added to all weekend multiples.

Roma 9/10
Parma are winless in their last three games but are coming off a hard-earned 1-1 draw at Fiorentina. Another big effort is required from them this weekend with Roma coming to town on the back of three successive victories.
Both sides thrive on attacking football and if they give it a go, we might just be in for goal fest.
