The London Wasps take on Ulster in a vital Champions Cup fixture on Sunday the 21st of January.
Wasps and Ulster go head-to-head in a crucial European Rugby Champions Cup tie this coming Sunday. The English club come into one off the back of a shock 33-28 defeat to domestic rivals Harlequins while Ulster makes the trip having got one over La Rochelle last week. That result has left the Irish side sitting at the top of Pool 1, five points clear of their opponents for this weekend, who have to win this one to have any chance of advancing to the next phase of the tournament.

The men from Coventry will still be kicking themselves after letting a 21-0 lead over Harlequins slip last week. Dai Young's men looked set to claim top spot on the Pool 1 standings heading into the final set of pool fixtures after a 10-minute blitz saw them go 21 points up after 20 odd-minutes against 'Quins. Some lacklustre defensive work and a late James Haskell red card put pay to that scenario, however, as Harlequins fought back to eventually run out five-point victors.
Last weekend's surprise defeat has left Wasps staring down the barrel in terms of qualification. The men from Coventry currently sit in third place on the Champions Cup Pool 1 standings some five points behind Ulster and four points behind second placed-La Rochelle. This means that Wasps simply have to win this weekend and hope that La Rochelle lose to Harlequins and fail to pick up a bonus point in the process. This is certainly not the position Wasps would have envisaged themselves in at half-time against 'Quins
Ulster Rugby
This could be a very happy weekend for Irish Rugby with Leinster already qualified for the next round and both Munster and Ulster currently topping their respective pools. Ulster currently sit a point clear of La Rochelle on the Pool 1 standings and a bonus point here would almost certainly be enough to send them through as one of the best-placed pool runners-up. A win would be an even sweeter taste as it would see Ulster end the pool phase as Pool 1's top side and guarantee them a home quarter-final.
The Ulstermen are likely to come into this one in buoyant mood as well as they managed to scrape a win against La Rochelle last weekend. The Irish Province showed a hell of a lot of guts during last week's 20-13 victory. They're likely to be a bit more expansive with ball-in-hand this coming week though as the weather conditions for Saturday's fixture are a lot more conducive to running rugby than the one they experience last weekend.
Verdict: Wasps 11/20
This should be a rather entertaining affair with Wasps needing a bonus point win and Ulster needing a bonus point of their own to ensure qualification to the next round. As such, the Live In-Play over points markets, as well as the half-time and full-time spreads, are certainly worth following this weekend. If you're going to have a strike on the ante-post match-winner, though, I recommend following Wasps with confidence.
