The start of the Rugby World Cup is under two weeks away and Hollywoodbets have some cracking outright betting markets available including the 'Top Points Scorer' market.
There are only a few weeks left until the 2019 World Cup starts and a number of players will be eyeing the coveted top points scorer accolade, and goal-kickers around the globe will be honing their skills in a bid to kick their respective teams to World Cup glory and top the charts.

Overview
The World Cup try-scorers list have been dominated by fly-halves with South African fullback Percy Montgomery the only player on the list to have not played at fly-half. He is also the one of two South Africans on the list with the other being Morne Steyn.
There has never been a player who has topped the charts more than once, so that may well bode badly for 2015 top points scorer Nicolas Sanchez.
The lowest amount of points accumulated by the tournament's top points occurred in New Zealand in 2011 where Morne Steyn topped the charts despite on notching up 62 points.
The highest amount came in 1987 when Grant Fox registered 126 points for New Zealand.
The accolade has only been claimed by three players whose teams actually won the World Cup with Montgomery, Fox and Wilkinson being the triumvirate.
Top Three Contenders
Johnny Sexton
The Irish pivot is a deadly accurate goal kicker and could well top the charts even if his side fail to make it through to the semi-finals.
The only worry with Sexton is that he doesn't get enough game time during the pool phase as Irish coach Joe Schmidt will definitely keep the veteran in cottonwool.
Verdict:
He's worth a punt at 9/1 but I'd be worried about how much game time he'll get in the pool phase.
Owen Farrell
With the English in such good form we could well see Farrell getting a boatload of game time. The Saracens stalwart is a deadly goal-kicked and has an eye for the try-line.
He currently holds an 82% goal kicking ratio heading into the tournament, which is one of the best ratios in World Rugby.
Verdict:
Farrell is a solid punt and I will be having a big strike on the Englishman to top the charts come the close of the tournament.
Handre Pollard
The South African maestro is set for a big World Cup. Pollard is another one of the tournament top marksmen, but his strength and solid running means he will also bag a few tries.
Pollard was the joint 2019 Super Rugby top points scorer alongside All Black Richie Mo'unga. He achieved this despite playing far less rugby than the Crusaders man.
Verdict: Handre Pollard 4/1
I'm not going to bother with a darkhorse here as I see this being a straight shootout between Pollard and Farell. I fancy the former to edge it as he's likely to bag a few more five-pointers than the Englishman.
