Sheffield United 15/2
Draw 9/2
Liverpool 7/20
Sheffield United have the unwanted task of facing a faultless Liverpool side who have won all six of their opening games this season. Sheffield have had some upward spirals of their own this campaign and come off the back of a miraculous result over Liverpool’s Merseyside rivals, Everton, winning 2-0 at Goodison Park.
That was their second brilliant result on the road after earning a point at Chelsea earlier this season. At home, though, the Blades have lost two of their three encounters.
Back Liverpool here at a decent price of 7/20.
Bournemouth 29/20
Draw 26/10
West Ham 17/10
Bournemouth and West Ham are slowly taking to pick up their form after sloppy starts in the beginning of the campaign. The Cherries claimed their second successive 3-1 victory, this time away to Southampton after an impressive performance from the entire squad, something Eddie Howe will be very excited about as they look to kick on and claim three victories in a row.
Speaking of three in a row, West Ham kept yet another clean sheet against Manchester United. Declan Rice and Mark Noble are probably the most underrated midfield pair in the league. Together, they’re extremely difficult to break down, while they also know how to start the attack.
My money is on the away win.
Wolves 9/10
Draw 5/2
Watford 32/10
Wolves and Watford lock horns this weekend being the only two sides in the division yet to claim a victory. The hosts have had more than one priority this term, shuffling between competing in the league and fighting in the UEFA Europa League.
Watford are rock bottom, and after losing 8-0 to Manchester City, they seem destined to stay there for a little while longer. This is also a repeat of last season’s FA Cup semi-final, where Watford progressed 3-2. This time around, though, Wolves should pick up their first win at the Molineux Stadium.
Take Wolves here at 9/10.
Crystal Palace 19/20
Draw 26/10
Norwich 11/4
Crystal Palace were denied late on in their encounter with Wolves, despite having a man extra, settling for a share of the spoils. Palace have actually looked out of sorts in recent weeks, going back to their 4-0 drubbing against Tottenham. Their defence needs to be on top of their game if they are to shut out Norwich, who seek a return to scoring ways after losing 2-0 at Burnley. The Canaries have lost all three of their games played on the road this term, but this could be a Palace side there for the taking.
The Away Win/Draw Double Chance is tipped at 8/10.
Tottenham 9/20
Draw 15/4
Southampton 57/10
Tottenham, once again, need to redeem themselves after throwing away a lead – this time, at Leicester City. That defeat means its now just one win in five league games for Spurs. Mauricio Pochettino may have felt hard done by with the VAR decision that disallowed Heung-min Son’s goal, but there are still a few things ‘Poch’ is still getting wrong, namely the constant omission of Christian Eriksen.
Southampton showed plenty of threat in attack against Bournemouth, but collapsed at a crucial stage to lose 3-1. Despite their slow start, only Liverpool and Man City have scored more goals than Spurs this season.
Get on the home win.
Aston Villa 27/20
Draw 24/10
Burnley 2/1
Aston Villa were gutted to lose the game against Arsenal last Sunday with Dean Smith admitting that with a man extra for more than half of the match, and with a half-time lead, they’re not going to get a better chance of beating Arsenal.
Burnley come off the back of a commanding 2-0 win against Norwich, but still seek their first away win of the campaign, although they did draw at Wolves and Brighton. The Clarets have looked sharp all season, while Villa’s defensive frailties could be their downfall against the likes of Ashley Barnes and Chris Wood.
Take Burnley on the Win/Draw Double Chance at 11/20.
Chelsea 9/20
Draw 7/2
Brighton 11/2
Frank Lampard seeks his first home win as Chelsea boss after surrendering to a 2-1 defeat against Liverpool at Stamford Bridge. Prior to that, the Blues had drawn against Leicester City and Sheffield United at home. Brighton have been playing some brilliant football under Graham Potter, but the results haven’t been coming the Seagulls’ way.
The visitors are winless in their last five league encounters, recently drawing 0-0 at Newcastle. Brighton play a lot more open now than they did under previous managers, and with Tammy Abraham and Mason Mount firing for Chelsea, Lampard should pick up his first home win.
Put your money on Chelsea here at a solid 9/20.
Everton 15/2
Draw 47/10
Manchester City 3/10
In one of the blockbusters of the weekend, Everton and Manchester City go toe-to-toe at Goodison Park this Saturday. A few weeks ago, this would have seemed like the perfect game for the neutral with City looking out of sorts at the back, while Everton had a six-game winning run at home.
Now, after Sheffield United beat the Toffees 2-0 in their own backyard and Man City beat Watford 8-0, its certainly going to be a different tie on the whole. Raheem Sterling was rested last time out and should be recalled into the team to face his former Merseyside rivals.
City look well worth a punt here at 3/10.
Sunday 29 September
Leicester City 5/10
Draw 31/10
Newcastle 57/10
Leicester City continued to cause more upsets, coming from a goal down to beat Tottenham 2-1 last weekend. Their record at the King Power Stadium will likely make them contenders to break the top six this season, having said that, a place in the top four cannot be ruled out just yet as well.
Newcastle moved one place out of the relegation zone after claiming a share of the spoils against Brighton, but that is still unsatisfying as the Toon Army have won just once all season, albeit away to Spurs. The 5/10 price on Leicester City is tremendous and it will be only a matter of time until the bookmakers realise how good this team really is.
Take the home win here and include in all multiples.
