Our football punter takes a look at game-week 32 of the Easter weekend's English Premier League clashes.
Saturday 31 March
To Win (90 mins)
Crystal Palace 57/10
Draw 38/10
Liverpool 4/10
(13:30)
The opening match of gameweek 32 sees Liverpool travel to Crystal Palace. Roy Hodgson’s side claimed a 2-0 victory away to Huddersfield before the international break. But prior to that, the Eagles were winless in seven matches, losing five times – including back-to-back home defeats against Tottenham and Manchester United.
Liverpool recorded a thumping 5-0 victory at home to Watford last time out, their fourth win from their last five matches. Mohamed Salah scored four in that game and was also on the scoresheet in Egypt’s 2-1 friendly loss to Portugal in Zurich last Friday. The Reds are tipped to come away with maximum points.
To Win (90 mins)
West Ham 18/10
Draw 43/20
Southampton 31/20
(16:00)
The international break came at the right time for West Ham as the Hammers suffered three losses in a row. David Moyes' side will be looking to return to winning ways against 18th-placed Southampton, but Mark Hughes will also be targeting a win in his first Premier League game in charge.
The Welshman was in charge of the 2-0 FA Cup victory over Wigan that sent the Saints through to the FA Cup semi-finals for the first time in 15 years. I’m expecting a tight affair with the draw tipped at 43/20.
To Win (90 mins)
Brighton 18/10
Draw 43/20
Leicester 16/10
(16:00)
Brighton will welcome the return to the Amex Stadium after suffering back-to-back defeats away at Everton and Manchester United (FA Cup). Since their heavy 4-0 loss at home to Chelsea in January, the Seagulls have been superb on their turf with four wins in a row, scoring 12 goals while conceding four.
Leicester were knocked out of the FA Cup by Chelsea before the international break and Claude Puel’s men will look to get back to winning ways. The Foxes thrashed bottom side West Brom 4-1 at the Hawthorns in their last league game. I’m going for Both Teams to Score at 19/20.
To Win (90 mins)
Manchester United 1/5
Draw 5/1
Swansea 13/1
(16:00)
This will be the third time these sides meet this season, with Manchester United looking to make it three wins. Jose Mourinho’s men, who are targeting a fourth straight Premier League victory, have won twice at the Liberty Stadium, beating the Swans 4-0 in the league and 2-0 in the Carabao Cup two months later.
The Red Devils are unbeaten in their last seven matches at Old Trafford, winning five times – including four in a row. Back United on the Home to Win to Nil at 13/20.
To Win (90 mins)
Newcastle 15/20
Draw 49/20
Huddersfield 38/10
(16:00)
Newcastle have had a long break as their Premier League fixture against Tottenham before the international break was postponed due to Spurs’ involvement in the FA Cup. The Magpies will be hungry to get back on the pitch and will be delighted to play at St. James' Park where they are unbeaten in five games with back-to-back wins against Manchester United and Southampton.
Huddersfield, who are winless in their last three matches, have won just three of their 15 travels, losing 10 times. I’m going for the home win.
To Win (90 mins)
Watford 14/10
Draw 24/10
Bournemouth 19/10
(16:00)
Watford will be delighted to be back at Vicarage Road Stadium following back-to-back defeats away at Arsenal and Liverpool. The Hornets are unbeaten in their last five home matches in all competitions with four wins, including three on the spin.
Bournemouth claimed their first win in five matches when they beat bottom side West Brom 2-1 at home before the international break. The Cherries will be hoping to build on that result, but they’ve recorded just one win in their last nine travels. Watford won the reverse tie 2-0 and I’m backing to secure all three points.
To Win (90 mins)
West Brom 16/10
Draw 2/1
Burnley 37/20
(16:00)
West Brom suffered a seventh straight Premier League loss as they were beaten 2-1 at Bournemouth last time out. The defeat left Alan Pardew’s side staring at the drop as they lie a sizeable 10 points from safety with only seven matches remaining.
The Baggies will be desperate to stop the rot and claim a vital win over Burnley – one of the three teams they’ve managed to beat this season. The Clarets are unbeaten in their last three matches with back-to-back wins over Everton and West Ham. Back the away win.
To Win (90 mins)
Everton 7/1
Draw 4/1
Manchester City 7/20
(18:30)
Manchester City will look to move a step closer to the Premier League title with a win over Everton. Pep Guardiola’s side have been outstanding this season and come into this match with four wins on the spin, including victories over Arsenal and Chelsea.
Everton are the only side that has managed to escape defeat at the Etihad Stadium, earning a 1-1 draw in August. The Toffees have lost just once in their last 10 home games, winning seven times. I’m going for Both Teams to Score at 9/10.
Sunday 1 April
To Win (90 mins)
Arsenal 7/20
Draw 17/4
Stoke 7/1
(14:30)
Arsenal welcome Stoke to the Emirates on Sunday afternoon with Arsene Wenger’s side no doubt desperate to keep their recent upturn in form going, after picking up three consecutive wins across all competitions. Stoke have failed to win any of their last seven outings, leaving Paul Lambert’s men in 19th-spot in the Premier League, three points from safety.
The Potters have lost on all nine previous Premier League visits to the Emirates and should struggle yet again. Back the Gunners on the (-1) Handicap at 8/10.
To Win (90 mins)
Chelsea 5/4
Draw 9/4
Tottenham 23/10
