Our football expert previews round 21 of the Italian Serie A which resumes on Saturday the 26th of January 2019.What a week it was for yours truly with eight of my 10 top tips coming through! I’m feeling confident ahead round 21 and I’m looking to maintain that hot streak. Let’s get to it.
Saturday 26 January
Sassuolo 21/20
Draw 9/4
Cagliari 28/10
Sassuolo would have been ecstatic after holding Inter Milan to a goalless draw at the San Siro Stadium last weekend. Cagliari have managed just 1 win from 10 travels, scoring seven goals and conceding 18 times.
However, the hosts have been nowhere near solid defensively so you can expect an open game of football. Get on the Both Teams to Score – Yes – market at 9/10.
Sampdoria 17/20
Draw 5/2
Udinese 33/10
Sampdoria have been excellent on home soil in recent weeks with three straight victories, scoring eight goals and conceding just once. Udinese have registered only four wins from 20 matches and are winless in their last five travels.
La Samp are off the back of a hard-earned 3-3 draw away to Fiorentina and will be looking to build on that. The home win is tipped.
AC Milan 26/10
Draw 5/2
Napoli 1/1
Fourth-placed AC Milan have been impressive of late with two wins on the bounce and have been tough to break down on their ground. Napoli have been in top form with six wins from their last seven matches.
Five of the last six meetings have seen both sides find the back of the net so I suggest you follow the pattern. Both Teams to Score – Yes – is the way to go at 15/20.
Sunday 27 January
Chievo 34/10
Draw 23/10
Fiorentina 9/10
Bottom of the log Chievo have been dreadful with just one win from 20 matches, scoring 14 goals and conceding 38 goals. Fiorentina have been terrible on their travels but they should do enough to come away with maximum points.
The Viola have won five of the last six meetings between the sides and look likely to edge this one. Back the away team to get the all-important win.
Bologna 13/20
Draw 26/10
Frosinone 9/2
Relegation-candidates Bologna and Frosinone will lock horns on Saturday afternoon. The former is coming off a hard-fought 1-1 draw away to SPAL and will be looking to build on that. The newcomers, on the other hand, were hammered 5-0 on home soil by Atalanta.
Home advantage should be a vital key in the result here.
This should be cagey and will most likely go down to the wire but Bologna are tipped to get up for the win.
Atalanta 12/10
Draw 26/10
Roma 2/1
Atalanta have been brilliant of late with back-to-back wins, scoring 11 goals and conceding just twice. Roma have also been excellent with three wins in a row and with that being said, a tricky but cracking contest is on the cards.
The reverse tie ended in an exciting 3-3 draw and another goal fest looks likely. The Over 2.5 goals market should be taken at 11/20.
Parma 14/10
Draw 2/1
SPAL 22/10
Parma will be looking to make it two wins on the spin following their 2-1 victory away to Udinese last time out. SPAL are without a win in their last eight matches and have been poor on the road with two wins from 10 games, scoring seven goals and conceding 16 times.
The hosts have lacked consistency this season but have shown much more promise in comparison to their opponents. Take Parma to bag all three points.
Torino 51/20

Inter Milan 21/20
Torino showed plenty of guts despite going down 3-2 at Roma last weekend. Inter Milan lacked a cutting edge after being held to a goalless draw by a lacklustre Sassuolo side.
The corresponding fixture ended in a 2-2 draw and this time Torino will be looking to utilize home advantage. Back the home side on the win/draw double Chance at 7/10.
Lazio 32/10
Draw 49/20
Juventus 17/20
Lazio have been fairly decent on home soil but come up against the juggernaut that is Juventus. The Old Lady remain unbeaten with 18 wins and two draws from 20 matches, scoring 41 goals and conceding just 11 times.
Juve have won the last four meetings away to Lazio without conceding and offer good value to extend that tally. Back the runaway leaders to get the victory.
Monday 28 January
Empoli 27/20
Draw 24/10
Genoa 39/20
Just three points separate Empoli and Genoa on the standings and the hosts will look to close that gap on Monday evening. The Azzurri are winless in their last five matches, including four defeats, while Genoa have lost seven of their nine travels.
The last 10 meetings have produced just 15 goals between these sides at an average of 1.5 per game. The Totals Under 2.5 goals market looks ripe for the taking at 19/20.
