There are four tantalising Varsity Cup fixtures scheduled for Monday the 5th of March.
The shocks just keep coming in the 2018 Varsity Cup with Wits ending Maties unbeaten run by holding their much-vaunted opponents to a draw last Monday. Maties fellow Capetonians, UCT were also involved in an upset last time out but it was the men from the Cape upsetting the odds as they beat Tuks by 10 points at the 'Greenmile Stadium'
Elsewhere, NMMU's horror run continued as they were hammered by Pukke, while UJ registered a massive away win over the Shimlas.

Tuks are enduring their worst season in some time and things won't get any easier this Monday as they entertain a desperate Pukke outfit. The hosts head into this one off the back of their fourth loss of the season with last's Monday's 26-16 defeat to UCT seeing the reigning champions drop to the foot of the table.
Pukke, on the other hand, head into this one off the back of two victories with their most recent win being 5-37 demolish job over NMMU. The men from 'Potch head into this one in a much handier position than their opponents - Pukke currently occupy fourth place on the standings - and a win here could see them climb further up the ladder with the regular season fast approaching its close.
Verdict: Pukke 5/10
I've waited most of the season for Tuks to find some semblance of cohesion, but that still looks a long way away despite the competition entering its 5th round. I can't help but have my biggest strike of the day on the away side here.

Next up we have a clash between the hapless Madibaz and UJ. Like Tuks, NMMU head into this weekend's games having failed to register a win this season. They do, however, sit a place above the foot of the table due to them garnering one more bonus point than Tuks have been able.
UJ are enjoying a much more productive season then their visitors, with the Johannesburg Varsity's 12-49 victory over Shimlas last week seeing them move just four points off fourth-placed Pukke. A big win here could well see the men from Gauteng move into the semi-final berths.
Verdict: UJ (-21.5) 17/20
This game should be bread-and-butter for the hosts who will be looking to build on from their big win over the Shimlas by putting another big score on the board.

CUT will be looking to make their rest week count when they take on the Leicester City of the Varsity Cup, Wits. The visitors registered a sensational result last week as they held title favourites Maties to a 30-30 draw. The result was a massive coup for Wits as it shows that they can mix it with the best despite heading into almost every game as underdogs.
When these sides met last year Wits ran out 43-5 victors. And with the season CUT are having, I wouldn't be surprised to see a similar scoreline here.
Verdict: Wits (- 29.5) 17/20The hosts are in red-hot form and I think they will have no troubles clearing what is a high but beatable handicap.

The final game of the day is certainly the one we've been waiting for with a resurgent Ikeys making the short trip to Stellenbosch to take on what will be a Maties side carrying a rather bruised collective ego. The hosts head home off the back of a shock 30-30 draw to Tuks which put a stop to their four-game winning streak. UCT enjoyed a much more profitable round as they grabbed a win over Tuks.
Maties have been rather dominant in these local derbies in recent year's with their 16-47 victory last year bearing testament to this. However, they may be run a bit closer this week with the UCT scrum in such spectacular form.
Verdict: Ikeys (+16.5) 17/20UCT should be able to keep it within a rather large handicap if their scrum fires as it has for the majority of the season.
