The three-year olds could have a big say in this competitive seven furlong handicap contest where there may be a lack of pace which should make things interesting. DUCHESS OF BOURBON was a game c & d winner of her maiden and she acquitted herself well in two subsequent attempts over the mile at handicap level where she seemed to indicate that she may prefer this slight drop in distance.

RIVER RHONE expectedly needed her comeback run following a 32 weeks absence but she didn't fare badly after showing speed and will strip much fitter today. She has just over two lengths to find with DUNTOCHE on that performance but the Kannemeyer inmate has much more scope for progress. Interestingly, the latter also returned from a lengthy rest that day but she ran on strongly for a close 2nd and the versatile daughter of Rebel King merits obvious respect.
