She finished just behind the 1, who has since come out and won again & they both meet up on similar weight terms today. However, one gets the feeling that with an ideal galloping weight once again, the daughter of Oratorio from the Gavn Smith yard could just get the upper hand ov- er the top weight this time around and we make her the top selection.

FAT LADY SINGS has made some good improvement with the blinkers on in her last three starts and the Windrush filly looks set for a huge run over the extra ground, from a much better draw today. Lyle He- witson retains the ride and she looks the one to beat. RUBIX has never been closer to the winners' box than she was in her last start, her course debut. She's been going in the right direction since retur- ning from that rest late last year and she should love this step up in trip today.

Not the stable elect, but he is bred for this trip and should relish the extra furlong today.
