Navan Best Bets
Race 1 - CAPTAINOFTHEBOUNTY (4) - 16/10
Trainer: Aidan O'Brien - Jockey: Donnacha O'Brien
A 22-runner maiden welcomes in the new Flat season at Navan and an appropriate winner would be CAPTAINOFTHEBOUNTY who has the cards in his favour. He battled back gamely when headed on the Dundalk Polytrack but will appreciate the switch to turf. He has the pace to put this to bed at the main expense of Mistress Of Venice.
Race 2 - KASBAH (8) - 20/1
Trainer: Ado McGuinness - Jockey: C Hayes
McGuinness has a number of cast offs from other stables in his string, including Saltonstall for whom he has big hopes in the Lincoln. However, KASBAH can also make his mark as he moves off the Polytrack to turf as an iron fit candidate.
He's been placed in his last four starts and although flattering to deceive on his latest start is worth siding with as a solid Each Way proposition in this.

Stratford Best Bets
Race 6 - KEEP MOVING (4) - 17/10
Trainer: Philip Hobbs - Jockey: Tom O'Brien
The Hobbs horses are really finding their form in time for Aintree and KEEP MOVING can add to a batch of recent winners from Sandhills Stables. He's been delicately campaigned and is a fresh horse, and looked a tad unfortunate not to score at Chepstow where he came there swinging on the bridle but was ultimately worried out of it by Inaminna.
Race 7 - HURRICANE HARVEY (6) - 16/10
Trainer: Fergal O'Brien - Jockey: Paddy Brennan
Even though he has hit the woodwork on each of his last three outings there is nothing ungenuine about HURRICANE HARVEY. He has good track craft to take to the table and should make up for getting pipped in a photo bySan Rumoldo at Southwell.

Kempton Park Best Bet
Race 2 - MATTERHORN (6) - 16/10
Trainer: Mark Johnston - Jockey: Joe Fanning
When Johnston improves a horse in the way he has MATTERHORN there's no knowing when it will stop and I fancy the four-year-old to make it a four timer.
For a horse that likes to get on with things he has the perfect stall to break from on the rail and try to repeat his recent success over the course and distance which was his most impressive and saw his mark go up 27lb from the start of his winning streak.
Uttoxeter Best Bets
Race 4 - STARJAC (5) - 8/1
Trainer: Paul Webber - Jockey: Gavin Sheehan
A horse with plenty of ability, there's a possibility that the assessor has underestimated STARJAC who is far better than his disappointing effort at Fakenham indicates. The lightly-raced five-year-old had run well in defeat against some well regarded foes prior to that and has benefitted from a freshening break since his last outing.
Race 7 - MOLLY OLLYS WISHES (5) - 3/1
Trainer: Dan Skelton - Jockey: Harry Skelton
The Skeltons are enjoying a good spell and especially in the Bumper division. They look to have the answer to this in MOLLY OLLYS WISHES who shaped promisingly in a better race than this on her Newbury debut. She stayed on into the money and her homework backs up the belief that she's improved a fair way for that.

Doncaster Best Bet

TODAY'S first leg of the Spring Double is a hard to put together jigsaw and the winner the missing piece.
Punters face a conundrum in that nobody knows for certain whether the draw advantage is for those posted high, low or in the middle. Furthermore the race up Doncaster's straight mile lacks a standout candidate like the 2018 winner Addeybb.
There is a 'dark' horse trying to end a long wait for a win in this race for Ireland. SALTONSTALL has been the main springer in the market, backed down from 25-1 to less than half that price and he hails from an Ado McGuinness yard enjoying a purple patch with four Flat winners in the past fortnight as well as Master Speaker finishing third in last week's Irish Lincoln. Saltonstall makes his debut for McGuinness who purchased him from Godolphin.
With the Aintree Grand National meeting just a few days away it might not be the greatest shock for a trainer best known for his exploits with jumpers to provide the Lincoln winner. Alan King has his horses nicely coming to the boil and I'm encouraged that Adam Kirby has been booked for eight-year-old CHATEZ. The gelding landed the Spring Mile consolation race here in 2015 and has always shown a lot of ability at home. He hasn't realised the promise he exuded over jumps but King is adamant he is a much better horse on the Flat.
ZWAYYAN is an eyecatching runner for Andrew Balding following his Wolverhampton trial win, but as he breaks from stall one his supporters will quickly find out if he's going to be as competetive as when scoring at Dunstall Park.
SOUTH SEAS is a former Balding-trained horse now in the card of Phil Kirby but cut in the ground is an important factor for him and it doesn't look as if he will get it.
Richard Fahey is in Dubai saddling Sands Of Mali but the trainer will have his eyes glued to his iPhone to watch THIRD TIME LUCKY and GREAT PROSPECTOR try their luck in this. Fahey believes the drying ground will not assist Third Time Lucky but that there will be no excuses for Great Prospector who has a touch of class.
