Channon's travelling head lad has an interest in the in-form DANCING JO and from the favourable rail berth this horse has a very good chance of landing a second course and distance success this year. He looked unfortunate not to score at Kempton earlier this month and is strongly fancied to regain the winning thread.
Race 6: MAGIC MIRROR (4)
Trainer: Mark Rimell
Jockey: Tom Marquand
Few horses run Kempton as well as MAGIC MIRROR but now the six-year-old can Notch a first Lingfield success. The selection is always most effective when having something to run at and so often here the picture changes dramatically in the short home straight. Hopefully Magic Mirror will be afforded the gaps required to be delivered late.
Newbury Best Bets
Race 5: MAQUISARD (9)
Trainer: Chris Gordon
Jockey: Tom Cannon
This stable's horses are running well without winning and are overdue a change of luck that MAQUISARD can provide. Having shaped with eye-catching promise at Sandown, he was the subject of a hefty on course gamble here and was looking menacing when hampered and falling three flights out. Conditions are much the same and I think the seven-year-old has a solid chance of demonstrating how unfortunate he was.
Race 6: GREEN DOLPHIN (3)

Jockey: Noel Fehily
On the day before he retires from the saddle Noel Fehily can deliver with the day's Nap, GREEN DOLPHIN. Backed at the exclusion of everything else for a similar contest at Wincanton, he cruised to the front fully half a mile out and came home unchallenged and is clearly a useful prospect and definitely one to follow.
Musselburgh Best Bet
Race 1: TIGHT CALL (2)
Trainer: Tim Vaughan
Jockey: Alan Johns
Last seen plying his trade at Grade 1 Ascot, this represents a sizeable class drop for TIGHT CALL who is strongly fancied to cash in. He was in the process of running his best race of the season, while albeit feeling the pinch, when falling at the last and this normally reliable jumper can regain the winning thread.

Race 4: MUDAWWAN (10)

Jockey: Paul Hanagan
Course and distance winner MUDAWWAN is not obviously weighted to win this as he meets Chosen World a tad wrong from past season form but he's fresh off a short break and worked well in Middleham earlier in the week.
Dundalk Best Bets
Race 4: SKY SEVEN (4)
Trainer: Michael Halford
Jockey: Ronnie Whelan
The way SKY SEVEN races strongly suggests he will benefit from this step up to 1600 metres. He looked all over the winner of his last race at this course but in the end had to play second fiddle to Numerian. Although there are good winners in opposition he looks sure to give his best and can outpoint Jupiter Road.
Race 6: MISS SNOSSYBOOTS (6)
Trainer: Michael Halford
Jockey: R Coakley
As long as she doesn't suffer from the 'bounce' factor MISS SNOSSYBOOTS can take this apprentice race, confirming the promise of her comeback from a protracted absence at this course and making it a good night for the Halford stable. That frame finish confirms that she has retained her ability.
